DoDoeleph FPV Drone with 720P HD Camera Wifi Live Transmission SYMA X8HW Remote Control Quadcopter with Altitude Hold and Headless Mode(Golden)

This was a Step up from the the Syma 5c as i wanted FPV. its package very well and is very simple to put together once all parts are out the box. The altitude hold works ok out doors but not the best indoors due to the down draft caused. even with that being said you can still use indoors if your room is big enough. i have researched a few drone's before this one but for the price i cant complain so far as it makes out for a good starter drone of this size, which you can upgrade. back to the drone camera. its very good for the price, indoors using FPV was ok with hardly any lag but out side you get a lot and cant fly FPV. So ive ordered a mount and sports cam to rectify this and will review at a later date. video and photos are good for a 1mp camera so not to bad to start out really. The battery with camera on and in video mode you get about 9 - 10 mins flying time i would recommend getting spare batteries and getting them all charged as charging takes from 75-180 mins. just one to be careful with in the manual it says about the lights flashing to indicate low power and gives you a bit of time to get it down safely. I've found after 2 flights get it down as soon as lights flash as there is not enough time to do anything else. as power disappears very quickly and due to the weight of the drone there's not a lot of lift produced to bring it back and land it safely, so just land as soon as you can. Can't comment on distance of WIFI or reach of the drone as only tested in back garden and living room. but does fly very well.

Good points.Very easy to fly camera works well battery life about 10 mins extra batteries are cheap. Will lift a gopro style camera if you buy mount for this drone which can be got for a few pounds spare parts easy and cheap to get. Fly's well in normal weather conditions ie not to strong wind in all a good solid drone.Bad points When at distance hard to see which way it is travelling I have purchased different coloured propellers and landing gear to put on front to help with this.because this drone is not gps enabled headless mode very hit and miss.so you really need to no which way around it is pointing!wifi range limited so fpv view restricted but this is the same for all wifi enabled drones you need 5.8 ghz for better range.summery Even with the bad points this is still a 5 star product because of the price.

Unless you have absolutely no wind I wouldn't recommend flying it outdoors as it's simply not powerful enough against even the slightest gust of wind (almost lost it twice) the camera quality is okay but expected something a bit better for the price but hey go.The controller feels very cheap and it's very uncomfortable, and it's too sensitive for my liking.The drone itself can take a beating as I've flown it into lots of walls and it has slammed into the floor on numerous occasions for an emergency landing when it got too windy or ran out of power. The legs on it aren't very good and bend with ease which can be an issue when landing on uneven terrain.

This was rubbish. Kept flying off by itself . I had it hovering and it just went mental and flew off. This had happened 3 times . Luckily I was able to bring it down as was in a massive area . Last time though it would not come down and sadly lost :-( thanks for amazon for listening and refunded me having sent the remote back. Good support from amazon. Bad product
