Definitely A Good Value For The Price

I mean it's a terminal block and it works as proclaimed. I wouldn't try to test the 65A rating as I'm pretty sure the contacts and the plastic mount wouldn't survive the conditions. It's also not a protected block so whoever is putting the ratings for this in the comments isn't doing the consumer any favors. All in all, I needed a small block that could handle the job in a tight place and this was the perfect size. Cost was more than fair for most other options and quality was better than some higher priced alternatives as well. Cannot complain.

Nice Terminal Blocks, BUT...

Pictures can be deceiving... 'Especially' when the description falls short of providing all the details that one needs to make a choice. This terminal block is actually really small! After I received it, I had gone back to amazon to look at others listed. It seemed that all I had found, were all by the same seller.I opened up 'several' listings, went to the descriptions on all of them, and found the same exact thing.Or should I say, the 'lack of' the same thing in all the descriptions. That being the 'screw size' in the terminal blocks.I've used these types of terminal blocks for 'many years' now, and have seen them in several different sizes. And I'm not talking the 'number' of terminal connections, but in the 'screw size'.And the screw size 'directly reflects' on the spacing in-between each terminal connection, (and the little dividers in-between the screw connections). And that'extremely important when you have a certain size terminal connector, you want to put under the screws.I had discovered that this 'particular' terminal block uses #6 screws. These are well constructed terminal blocks, (most likely still made of bakelite), which provides for an excellent insulator.I'm deducting 'two stars' just because of the lack of a through description along with the listings.I did talk to the company, and they do offer these terminal blocks in various different sizes, (besides the #6 screw), and I'll most likely order exactly what I need through them. However unless they can give me the 'particular' amazon listing, with the correct size I'm looking for, I'll be forced to order directly through them. And probably either needing to come up with a minimum order, or paying more in shipping than the item itself costs.

Just what I needed!

I used this in my bus conversion to replace a rusted terminal bar. It was exactly what I needed! I am a very happy customer!

Smaller than I thought

Nothing wrong with the terminal block, but smaller than I thought. I use 14 gauge wire with heat shrink ring terminals everywhere in my boat. The ring terminals have a hole for a #10 screw. I use this size because of varying terminal block sizes on my boat, and this size is always big enough. Unfortunately, there was not enough room to get my ring terminals to fit in this block. Some filing was necessary to get them to fit, but I finally succeeded. I think the specifications for any terminal block should include wire gauge typically used for the block, and maybe the screw size.

Built well, but too tight.

Built like a tank, but I had to use 6 AWG terminals with a larger screw hole than is correct for the size screw in the terminal block or else the ring terminal would not sit flush. It seems like the terminal isolators are either too close, or this is only meant for spade terminals. I'm using MIL-SPEC terminals left over from a mod on one of the aircraft I work on, so I know my terminals aren't defective. If you find terminals that fit it, then it's a beast. It's not convenient to add a second conductor to each side since space is already so limited, so I'd suggest only using this as a feeder terminal strip for other bus bars. It CAN be done, but be sure your ring terminals have full contact so you don't add a high resistance to your system. If there was just a little more room, and I mean by a few thousandths of an inch this would be a 5 star product.

Perfect for the job

My husband has been helping with the remodel at our church. He needed this terminal block, but he doesn’t like to shop, so he was glad I could order one for him.

Nickel plated brass. Large enough for big 10ga. terminals. Very well made!

Perfect!

good quality but too small for 14-16 gauge ring connectors

This terminal block is good quality but the slots are too small for 14-16 gauge ring connectors. Smaller 18-22 gauge connectors might fit. The slots for each screw should be wider! Buy the 30 amp version instead.

Les vis en croix ne sont pas toujours appropriées

Idéal pour une boîte de jonction sans utiliser des marettes....

Basic but solid

Does what it’s advertised, but a couple of little things would help. No terminal shield, so beware live lugs. No way to label lugs. And these are simple screws into a baseplate, not a lifting box lug design - not even a lifting plate to offset the screw rotation

Smaller than a terminal block should be

The dimensions of the terminal block are smaller than ones made by TE, Cinch, Molex, etc. OK for low power DIY projects like speakers, but not for higher power applications. For $1 more, can get one manufactured by TE, Cinch, Molex, etc. that is stronger and can handle a broader range of applications.
