It’s Just a Shaving Brush. But Also, It’s Bond. James Bond.
There are shaving brushes, and then there’s this. The Parker 100% Black Badger Bristle Brush doesn’t just lather your face—it transports you.One swirl, and suddenly I’m standing in front of a bathroom mirror in a Monte Carlo villa. Martin’s idling outside. Two impossibly elegant women are pouring champagne, unaware I’ve got five minutes to shave, tux up, and stop a cyber-heist.The brush feels fantastic. Firm, rich bristles—none of this synthetic nonsense. It whips soap into a glorious foam, gathers every last whisper of stubble, and makes you feel like a man who owns cufflinks that weren’t bought in a train station. It’s a shaving brush, yes. But it does something to you. Something for you. It elevates the morning. Reminds you that you are not just dragging a razor across your face—you are preparing for the day as if the fate of the free world depends on it.Five stars. Because if I’m going to face cancer, tourists, and London traffic—I’m damn well doing it with a brush worthy of MI6.

Nice looking brush, it has a nice weight not to light, the bristles are excellent quality, they're not to stiff but make a nice lather overall a nice brush

Good for the price, but buy a different stand
The look of this shaving brush is my favorite feature. The white marble handle contrasting with the black badger brush are very stylish, but I have to say that after one year of use (I shave once a week) the picture on the handle has almost completely faded away. I do not mind, but some customers might be bothered by it.The brush itself is good quality, it lathers very well, however I've had several hairs falling out after a few months. I think for $32 it is to be expected, this is not a luxury brush but it is definitely a top brush for this price level. The bristles might feel stiff, however I noticed that leaving the brush soaked in hot water for a few minutes (usually I do it while taking a shower) helps a lot in preparing the hairs for lathering. You should store this brush upside down to preserve the bristles, therefore I recommend purchasing a stand (the one provided is made of plastic and while it does the job of holding your brush, you need to be very careful while placing it or it will rip off some bristles). In a nutshell:Pros- lathers well- stylish- good valueCons- occasional bristle loss- picture on handle fades

Forgotten Quality
I'm still fairly new to the safety razor shaving routine, but I previously picked up a "Perfecto" brush under the assumption that it would be good enough to get the job done (and hey, the list price was $49.99 but it was on sale for $10.99 so that seemed like a good deal [what a scam]), and boy was I ever wrong. Sure it worked, technically—I could load my soap into the brush and lather it and more-or-less it would transfer from the brush to my face, but when I was getting into the safety razor shaving routine, part of my reasoning was to get away from the cheap-quality products that heralded themselves as standards, yet had to be replaced every few months. I realized I would inevitably have to replace that cheap brush every few months, and the overall quality just felt extremely cheap, so I opted for this beautiful brush. The first thing you'll notice (or the first thing I noticed, coming from a cheap brush) is the weight. It actually feels like you're holding something of quality, and you most certainly are. The white marble handle contrasting with the black badger brush just looks fantastic. I read a few things about people noticing an odor from this brush, but I didn't experience this. After running through the routine to speed up the break-in process—soaking the brush for 10 minutes, lathering it up, letting it dry overnight, then rinsing it out with warm water and drying it thoroughly—I noticed another big difference between this brush and the Perfecto brush; the hairs don't fall out. While with the Perfecto brush I didn't know any better, and I thought maybe the hairs falling out was normal or part of the break-in process of the first 15 shaves, I don't think I've seen a single hair fall out of this brush yet. Immediately that means this $34 brush will last quite a bit longer than the $10.99 brush would have, if I'd kept it long enough to find out. Sure, it's 3x the price, but it's 10x the quality. One of those instances where you can keep buying a cheap product for a few bucks or you can buy one quality product for a bit more. This brush feels like an ode to the days when products were high quality and would last more than a few years. If you're switching to safety razor shaving, it's likely because you're tired of the cheap products you have to throw away, made of plastic or who-knows-what, along with simply wanting a better shave. I've read there are some brushes out there that are well over $100, and while I can't justify that yet, I know this brush is perfect for me, and if you'd told me a month ago that I could love a shaving brush so much I'd say you were bonkers.

QUALITY BRUSH AT A DECENT PRICE
have had the brush for a year and use it 4 times a week. It is well balanced and I like the heavy base. It sheds occasionally which I have found to be typical with all the brushes I have had. The badger hair is long and is to long for my preference. When the long hair is full of cream it sloshes all over my fave with little control. I truly enjoy this brush and will buy another.

Good looking value badger brush.
This was my first shave brush purchase. What attracted me to this item was the Black Badger brush (stiffer than a Pure or Silver Tip), the Marble and Chrome Handle and the price point. After receiving this product, I noticed that this brush/handle combination has a nice heft and is very classy looking. What I also like is that the handle is just the right size for me to palm the brush handle while using my fingers to grasp the bristles near the knot to adjust the backbone (flex) as I load the brush. This also allows for a lot of control when applying soap to your face. After I unboxed this brush, I did notice an animal smell, but nothing that was over powering. After three uses the smell began to diminish and after six uses it has disappeared. Black Badger is the stiffer hair of this animal and is less desirable compared to the Silver Tip. However, you do get a great value, with a Black Badger brush. If you're just getting started with wet shaving this is an excellent buy for a Badger Brush. If the smell is a deterrent, try the Parker synthetic brushes, no break-in needed. You won't be disappointed.
