Light weight, thin, high-quality and durable. Highly recommend
Love these sticks. They are the perfect weight for what I was looking for. Excellent quality, durable, and a great value for the money. I would definitely buy again. Highly recommended. ( They are light weight thin sticks)

The only sticks.
I was trying to order 5bs but I ended up with 2b. I have meaning to try some 2b sticks from VIc FIrth for a while. They feel great perfectly balanced. I am still trying to figure out how to get the tones I like out of my drums with the added mass and so far it sounds much differant than the 5bs I was playing. Great sticks. You cannot go wrong with Vic Firth. To me they are the only stick.

Balance between speed, control, sound and reliability.
I've been playing drums for over 13 years, tried out every brand of every detail you might think of. I've used a ton of different brands and models of drumsticks from the ProMark 2B's to the Regal Tip Deaths and even all the way to the STLs. But for some reason I always found myself going back to these. Truth be told, they do feel great, sound great, they offer great amounts of speed with awesome control, I really dig the attack and articulation the nylon tip offers, not to mention the part that the tip has never broken on me, unlike the wood tip. That being said considering that some people who have heard me play say that I kill the drums every time I hit them, and if that's true, these are a heck of a pair of sticks since my last pair I bought well over a year ago and they still keep on going and are even in good shape. Overall, I highly recommend these if you're looking for a solid, heavy stick. If you're looking for something lighter any other Vic Firth nylon tip will work great. Contrary to what some people might say, never has the tip flown away on me.

Very satisfying drum sticks!
I love these sticks when I need a little extra oomph. The round tip provides a great tone on both clear and coated heads but mixed results on ride cymbals (they sound great on my Zildjian 21" Sweet Ride but not so good on my K Custom Brilliant Ride.)They feel nice in the hand with a nice heft and balance without being too big or heavy. Coming from a marching band background, I feel very at home with these sticks, way more so that with most sticks designed for the drum set. My primary sticks are the Vic Firth Extreme 5A and these 3As are the perfect compliment when I really need or want to hit hard!

Great for H.S. band
Great! After having a few years with the starter sticks, you can feel the difference with these.

Would recommend
One of the best sticks that I have used before I always wanna go for the cheaper ones but I end up using it for like four or five times and your break or chopped but invest in this amount of money in four pairs of drumstick is really good and great

Beefy and Reliable
I use two different sticks when I play. Currently they are the Vater Fusion wood tip hickory model, and the Vic Firth 2B. To be honest, Vater sticks have been my go to sticks for quite some time, but I was looking for a heavier stick for slower and heavier tunes where you just want a little more wood impacting your drums and cymbals. The Vic Firth 2B's are well balanced and work extremely well for music with rudimental passages. We play Paul Simon's "50 Ways..." and these give a great rebound for linear patterns and double stroke rolls (yes I opted for open vs closed). While I do believe they are more durable than a thinner stick, this is more of a technique issue rather than how much wood you hold in your hand. If you chop at your cymbals at odd angles and play through your drum heads, you can still crack a larger stick like this.Anyways, the point is that these sticks will hold up really well and I would highly recommend them a home in your stick bag. I bought them on sale here for under seven bucks, so watch for the price to drop and get a few pair!
