Cancer: The Metabolic Disease Unravelled (The Real Truth About Cancer)

This is the second book I've read by Mark Sloan. He does tons of research, indicated by the fact that over half the book is an ENORMOUS list of verified references that support all the claims in the book. Anyone who has cancer, or knows someone who does, needs to read this book. It not only explains what cancer is, how it develops and spreads, and how to safely and cheaply cure it. Don't submit to the corrupt medical industry's outdated and barbaric cancer treatments that do serious damage and aren't a guaranty for survival. Cancer, as well as all other diseases, are merely symptoms of the only true disease, the disruption of cellular metabolism.

I just finished reading the last page and starting back for a second read. Mark wrote the book to be an amazing simple read (easy to understand) for those of us unfamiliar with medical knowledge / terminology. I am not a reader but I couldn’t stop myself. I was captured and wanted more. This small paperback book bulges with proven historical research, trails, tests, evidence and references.More amazing than the proven researched statics noted are the years they were verified. Mark provided the references by which you can perform your own research then make your own choices for your health. I actually gave this book to my primary doctor and asked him to read it. If he doesn’t read it someone in the office will.Pass it on…Marks love for humanity and his struggle for the TRUTH to be made know is extremely felt. I can’t emphasize enough the importance that this book be passed on. Buy it for yourself or buy it for someone else. It makes a perfect “LOVE” gift.

This makes so much sense. I'm glad a friend recommended it to me. My question: In the end he references a third book that will provide nutritional protocol. But I can't seem to find it anywhere. Does it exist?

The book is well researched and dispels the theory that cancer is attacking and traveling in our bodies. I’m treating my breast cancer as a metabolic deficiency and I have not had my breast removed for a coffee bean sized tumor. I did take an Aromatase inhibitor 22 months to stop the estrogen receptor tumor growth while I increased consumption of oranges, raspberries, green tea, olive oil and coconut oil. Thank you for supporting my choice to refuse surgery and invasive treatment.

I write very few book reviews, but I’d be remiss to not do this one; it’s that good. I’m not saying everything in it is 100% accurate or true, nothing is that perfect. However, there is enough mind-blowing information for even the very well-read health seeker. I follow a good number of health researchers on the net and I’ve read enough books over many years to say that I’m not just a guy in a candy store.I don’t have the time to read hundreds of PubMed articles on a single subject. I rely on a few dozen extremely intelligent people to do that for me. I research the researchers. I could mention 3 neurosurgeons, a collection of MD’s and Ph.D’s that I follow and read. I even read a lot of material from folks I completely disagree with. When you read enough, you can learn a lot. Then you can do your own N=1 experiments to see what works for you and what doesn’t. The author, Mark Sloan, is now on my list of highly regarded researchers.There is plenty of good information that is valuable for health in general and not just for cancer. The part dealing with polyunsaturated Omega 3 fatty acids is in close agreement with what Brian Peskin, Ph.D. and Dr. Robert Rowan have been saying for years. That is, exogenous Omega 3’s may be far more detrimental to your health than beneficial. That Omega 6 polyunsaturated fats are dangerous (beyond the necessary amounts) should be common knowledge to well read health seekers. (Ancel Keys was one of the most detrimental figures in all of the history of health research.)Also, the information provided about Buteyko breathing is extremely valuable. What Mr. Sloan didn’t mention is that Buteyko breathing can lower your deuterium levels. (That is a VERY good thing. It can increase your health and your longevity, and it is used by some to prevent, or treat cancer.)Kudos to the author, Mark Sloan, for this book. It is GOLD!(P.S. I just bought his book on red light therapy.)
