Q: Has anyone successfully set up this printer after the display will not move past the language selection?

I did not experience any problem getting past the English language setting. Everything set-up quickly and easily.

Q: How long will ink last?

I have the Canon G6020. I love it - bought it November 2019 - I use it a lot and the ink is only down 1/4. The off brand ink is very reasonably priced. I have would have already been through one of the $60++++ dollar ink cartridges.

Q: does printer come with ink?

Yes. Has one bottle of each color and 3 bottles of black.
