EuroGraphics The World of Cats Puzzle (2000-Piece) (8220-0580)

Eurographics "World of Cats" 2,000 piece jigsaw puzzle provides many hours of entertainment. For someone who likes cats, the image is especially irresistible, fun, and enchanting to assemble.Most of the edge pieces are white, but I was fortunate enough to sort them all out after one pass through all the pieces.The pieces interlocked very well, which I appreciated because I assembled this approximately 27 by 40 inch puzzle on a bulletin board which measured about 3 by 4 feet and which I had to move around quite a bit. I also liked the horizontal orientation of the image.By my count, the puzzle image shows 232 cats, 1 puppy, 1 bunny and 2 chicks. About half a dozen pairs seem to be the same cat shown in a different pose or size.If I had to pick a "favorite" cat, it would be the sweetie towards the middle holding a pink balloon (see attached pboto).

This puzzle is a nice challenge. I like the cats in all the fun poses. The white background and similar colors of the cats really give you a run for it. Good value for the money. Can also be a bit frustrating at times, but who wants an easy puzzle?

Great puzzle. Pieces are thick enough. I haven't put it together yet but I am sure it is great.

It's a very beautiful product, a cute cat's image, but for me, it ended up too much expensive because of the shipping and taxes charged, pretty much more than I used to pay when the products are sold and delivered by Amazon itself.

There are a number of stages to this puzzle.Stage 1: AWW YES, I LOVE CATS! Look at this one it's so cute! I'm going to make this a real challenge and not look at the box!Stage 2: Oh man this is so easy, I got that teal knitted thing in like 2 seconds!Stage 3: Okay, no prob! Let me just do all of the orange or black cats.Stage 4: Oh god what have I done?! Where is the %#$^# box?!?!Stage 5: Complete border, reinstate faith in your own abilities.Stage 6: I found all of the faces...I'm basically done now, right?????Stage 7: Linger indefinitely in purgatory. Feel like you're making progress but there's like a billion pieces to solve.Stage 8: Start naming and talking to the cats, "OH! This piece is Grady! Aww, Grady." "Oh man this belongs to Bailey Button. Where is she again?" This is the point where friends and family may begin to worry.Stage 9: Despair. Work on it for 30 min every couple of days, but mostly look at your living room floor and weep inside for your lack of gumption.Stage 10: Intervention. You need to call in some backup or this thing won't ever die.Stage 11: Separate all remaining pieces by shape, and dominate one by one. This is Sudoku. In the battle of wills, who will win? You...or the cats?Stage 12: DOMINATION. THE WORLD OF CATS IS YOUR DOMINION. Now bask in your feline glory and start dreaming of your next conquest. Realize that if you actually had a cat you would never have been able to have left this unsolved on the floor for a month.

The pieces are not firm and therefore do not fit in nicely. A higher quality pressed board would make Eurographics much better. As it is, I will not purchase that brand again.

I love doing puzzles and I love cats. This one is definitely a challenging one usually it would take me within a week to do 2000 piece puzzles but this one will take longer but I like.
