Dewalt DCB184-XJ XR Lithium-Ion Battery, 5Ah, 18V, Black/Yellow

I bought this as a standard back up battery for my Dewalt tools when it was on offer. It makes for a lighter tool when doing the occasional odd job and is a great back up to my 4Ah and 5Ah main batteries. Sometimes you just don’t need the weight or longevity of the bigger batteries.

I know these things cost a bomb but the truth is you are taking your life in your hands buying replicas, pirates and or whatever. I have had a few fakes explode on me so no more! One not only destroyed itself but turned my DeWalt charger in to a very expensive lump of coal. Buy the real deal and buy from a retailer you trust. DeWalt make good batteries, buy one!The 5Ah batteries seem to be the preferred choice for many people but personally I only use them in the most powerful DeWalt devices. In the smaller hand drills for example, most of the weight is going to be the battery if use 5Ah. Also it's arguably better to have two 2Ah batteries because you can keep one on charge while you are using the other.Anyway, whatever you choose, buy the originals.

This is being worked hard currently on a cordless grinder, cutting concrete, with no cutting out or overheating. (Grinders being the goliath of all battery power demands). I'd been using 4ah batteries up until now. I'm also ashamed to say emergency 2ahs, for under 2 min sessions, before they overheated and ran down. (Don't do that). I really hadn't lived until now; I'm actually able to get decent amounts of concrete cuts done now, consistently and for a lot longer with this 5ah battery, (20+ minutes).(These are genuine Dewalt, but I suspect these have been taken from kits, hence the lack of packaging. There's no worries with that here as it's only a missing box).

You know what you're getting with DeWalt. Well, most of the time anyway. Not realising that the photo of the battery had been squashed. So when a regular size battery appeared. I was a bit puzzled. But seeing as I needed the battery, I kept it. I can't fault the quality of the battery. It lasts forever and doesn't take to long to fully charge.

Bought this for a few of my Dewalt tools.. be careful when buying Dewalt batteries as their are a few that aren’t actually Dewalt … this one thankfully was and works well in my Grinder/Drill etc .. stays charged much longer than the 1.5ah that I previously used

I have many Dewalt tools, I needed a bigger battery for my circular saw. Batteries are always far too expensive so I have been putting off getting a slightly bigger one. It has been a slight game changer as I can battle out a little more work for longer! Needs must and all that.It's the real deal and the build quality is great - not a knock off product.

Habe ihn vor einer Woche geladen und seitdem unzählige Löcher gebohrt und Schrauben versenkt und musste den Akku bislang nicht einmal nachladen! Wahnsinns Teil.

Alors oui c'est de la 18V 5Ah mais c'est pas la batterie slim mais bien le gros modèle .Ça fonctionne de la même façon , on s'entend mais je m'attendais à la slim .
