No problem to install at all
All parts fit perfectly

Good kit
The pull starter in our oldest machine got trashed when water got into the case. This seems to be a solid replacement kit for the price. It was easy to replace after cleaning up the corrosion from the water. Have used it several times since then and it worked great.

Easy fix for my Polaris Sportsman
Bought the quad with a broken pull start assembly. Disassembled the pull start and replaced the internals with this kit. Quick and easy. But the resistance to pull start the motor makes it impossible to turn over by pulling. So in retrospect I wouldn’t have fixed the pull start had I known this. Maybe it’s missing a decompression?

Perfect fit.
Perfect fit for my 01 Sportsman. Not confident the hard plastic pull handle would make a water tight seal so I used my original handle.

Broke apart on first use
The recoil assembly broke apart and jammed up inside the housing after the first start. The only useable items were the cord itself and the handle, which were assembled onto the original recoil assembly. Waste of money.

Some upgrade required
Like the handle, made of solid plastic, but it doesn't fit over the tubing of the housing, had to drill the bore out in it to make it work.
