This was a great upgrade from my old Sodastream Fountain Model
I had a Sodastream machine Fountain Model for three years until it finally broke so I was on the hunt for a replacement, unfortunately they are focusing on the newer & more expensive models so I decided to try this one due to it coming with two extra bottles, and the claim that it's safe to use powder drink mixes. Those claims are true if you know how to handle it right. The device overall is simple to put together & operate. The model uses the standard W21.8-14 connector CO2 canisters (not the new "quick connect" canisters) like in Sodastream's older models or you can buy from another company if they stop making them. This works with any traditional Sodastream, or Ralph's Syrups. However this works well with the powder/liquid water flavoring mixes too. MIX the flavor in first before adding the fizz. With that said you also gotta be careful during the initial pressure release do it slowly and in brief increments and you will not have it spraying out on you (let the fizz die down) this is due to the chemical reaction to the powder/liquid mixes (like Mentos in Diet Coke reaction just less severe). You can refizz store bought sodas as well if they go flat.Just need 3 to 6 2 sec. presses for a nice fizzy drink if you hear it slowly hiss after pressing it's best to not add any more just to prevent a blow out. The fizziness also depends on how cold the water is as well as the amount of fizz added Pre-refrigerated water lasts for 90 minute with 3 press to 2 hours with 6 (this includes having the drink sealed with the provided lids) Cold Tap water 45 min. (3 press) to 60 min. (6 press). A misconception about all these machines is that the CO2 last a long time in storage if you keep a lid on it. That is not why they're made there make Seltzer Water on the fly for quick consumption like at a old fashion soda fountain or a restaurant/convenience store soda fountain so if you can not drink a liter of fizzy water in that time it'd be best to find a model that uses 16.9 oz bottles or get a old school Seltzer bottle, and learn a bartender's style craft of mixing (it ain't hard really)Anyway the bottles are long, and while some say they tip easily I have not had that issue. Cleaning is simple just rinse the the fizzing cap in warm water like they say, and all is well for the bottles get a bottle cleaning brush & mild detergent & wash by hand don't put into a dishwasher. I would like to get more fizzing caps from Fizzpod, but I don't see it in their store page. I may try the 3rd party ones to see if they work (I'll update when I do). If you know how to use it, and can consume a liter of fluids in a short time period this devise is wonderful. It's a vast improvement to my old Sodastream machine and since I can use powder drink mixes (needs 2 16.9 oz packets to make a liter) that I can get dirt cheap at a dollar store it beats paying $3+ dollars for a 2 liter of name brand soda. This also lets someone that can not have regular sugar drinks (diabetics) have more options for Zero Sugar/Diet drinks. This is great for re fizzing flat sodas too.

Love it!
Great bubble maker! Have had this now for about a year. So easy to use. Just insert a new can of Co2 when empty. Place the tumbler under the pump action dispenser and you have sparkling water! You can determine the amount of carbonation you want but how much Co2 you inject. The maximum saturation is about the same as a regular store bough can of sparkling water. The dispenser is completely made of plastic, but so far it hasn’t cracked or broken. No more lugging expensive heavy cases of sparkling water home from the store . I also bought flavored syrups separately to add to the carbonated water after it has been poured into a glass. So I can enjoy my favorite soft drink and zero calorie flavored waters at home for a quarter of the price and without all the bulk. This is a very economical and practical purchase for anyone who loves carbonated beverages on the regular, or has mobility issues of getting drinks home from the store. Also great savings.

The fizzy machine is great but the bundle isn't worth it
I like the Fizzpod Soda Maker. It's very elegant and easy to use. I haven't used it to fizz flavored drinks but I like that this model can do so. I bought the "bundle" for the sole purpose of having 2 carbonator cartridges -- thinking that I could send one in for refills while using the other one. No downtime, right?! Well no because the manufacturer will only take returns for the both of them. Seriously, WTF! This is not made clear in the description. The whole purpose of having 2 is so that you never have to run out. Why would you need 2, if you need to use them both before getting a refill? It makes no sense whatsoever. You can save yourself a lot of money by not buying the "bundle."The other downside to this model is that the water bottles are very tall. Elegant, as I mentioned but may not fit in your refrigerator -- they work in mine as I have a wine rack and can lay them on their side. It's ok but take note to make sure that solution will work for you bacause warm bubbly water is just gross.

Great soda maker!!
I love this thing! I bought it because I was going through so many one-time use plastic bottles, and I didn't like the impact of that on the environment. This gadget is so easy to use and takes up very little space (unless you count all the bottles of flavored syrup I got to make my soda!). It's quick to make soda and very easy to change CO2 canisters. Yes, the tube that injects the gas is plastic, but if you're aware of this and its potential fragility, you can just operate the unit carefully. I use one hand to start setting the bottle on the base plate and the other to lift the lid/gas pump as I continue setting the bottle upright. Not hard to do.I read that some people were complaining about the long, slender shape of the bottles - that they don't fit in the fridge and that they fall over easily. That is true, but there's a very easy work-around. If you make a bottle of soda filled to the indicator line, the beverage fits very nicely in a 32oz bottle. I have a few empty Powerade bottles that have a nice wide mouth - it's very easy to pour the contents from the FizzPod bottle into the Powerade bottle without spilling or the use of a funnel. Then I put the Powerade bottle in the fridge and pour the soda into my Yeti tumbler as needed. Easy-peezie. Then I just rinse the FizzPod bottle out and turn it upside down to drip dry until I make the next batch. It's nice that they include so many bottles because I understand that they do wear out over time, so having 2 backups will keep me from having to purchase more bottles anytime soon. The only drawback to this, or any soda making machine, is the cost of the CO2 canisters. I did just see a video on how to fill them yourself, and as soon as I buy what I need to do this, I'm going to give it a try. That would be an incredible cost-savings!
