Amazing. K Cup Brewing Instructions
Amazing. Simply. Total buzz that never crashes and essence of chocolate? Love it. As a coffee drinker for life, I still drink coffee every day but do a 18 oz cup of this stuff and take it to work every day. I own a k cup brewer and learned how to steep it for all the flavor and benefits. Use the purple k cup reusable units, fill it up, hit the strong brew button on k cup maker. I do a large run and a small run through the same cup which equals about 18 oz. KEY PART is take the purple k cup out and throw it in your mug, cover and leave at least 5 minutes. This is the steeping you need. Longer equals more flavor and more buzz. Remove purple k cup and add sugar and creamer as needed. Enjoy.

Tremendously better than it sounds.
I wasn't sure what to expect with this product - would it taste like baking cocoa and water? Or perhaps like cocoa tea, as some manufacturers have made?Instead, this is a very interesting, flavorful alternative to coffee. It's mildly bitter (not harsh) and sour, perhaps a bit less so than most coffees, and has a lot of deep flavor notes to it (provided you've brewed it to your taste). With the addition of just a bit of cream, it's even better (but, then, I prefer my coffee that way as well).I honestly believe this is a viable replacement for coffee for a lot of people. It's neither weak nor harsh, and the theobromine kick is different from a true caffeine kick - it's hard to quantify, but it's more pleasant. Suffice to say, though, if you drink coffee as a pick-me-up, this stuff will also wake you up and help you focus the same way.If this takes off, I think most people who actually try it are going to like it quite a lot. It's also perfect for folks who miss chocolate, but are trying to avoid sugar. Not everything has to be sweet to be delicious. :)The only barrier is that it is - fairly understandably - more expensive than coffee. It takes a half cup of cacao to brew with 4 cups of water, and the cacao does soak up quite a lot in the brewing process, so if you really want 4 cups of brewed liquid, you'll have to add a bit more water. The instructions say to use a full cup of cacao to make a very strong brew. At that rate of use, a package won't last long.On the other hand, it's still cheaper than Starbucks.

My new morning routine
I bought this as an alternative to coffee since my body can't handle it anymore (leaky gut). And I LOVE coffee, I soooo miss it and especially as it gets cooler out I find myself wanting something more substantial than a cup of tea. I cannot have sugar, dairy, most carbohydrates or alcohol so you can imagine my disappointment that there really isn't anything creamy and hot out there that I can have or want. (I recently ordered a sugar-free, almond milk, decaf mocha at Starbucks and bleh. Stomachache, bad flavor and a little over $5! No thanks...) So, like anyone anymore, I did an online search fueled by frustration for non-dairy, sugar-free, decaf mocha recipes and I found a blog (The Soulful Spoon) with one that really caught my attention (www.heathermcclees.com/sugar-free-vegan-mocha/). So, I eagerly read it and was surprised to find Crio Bru recommended in place of decaf coffee or to be mixed with it if desired. And when I found out it was chocolate, I was really interested - yay! From there I searched for Crio Bru on Amazon and was delighted to see they not only carry it but it's available through Prime. The cost it a bit high for the amount you get and for how much you have to use each time to get the right flavor and effects from it (the reason for 4 stars). BUT, if you're verging on desperate as I was, this is worth it. It smells amazing, like hot chocolate, but it is bitter like coffee with it's obvious differences since it is chocolate. The first day I had any I got the biggest energy burst to the point I was mildly jittery all day. Now, having said that, I was in the best mood the entire day and had sustained energy. The best part was when it wore off around 7pm, I got properly tired that evening and was able to go to sleep without issue, which often times it is an issue for me. The next day I made less in the hopes that I could lessen or eliminate the jittery feeling. It worked to where I had no jitters at all! So, since then, I make one 10-12 oz. cup a day and stir in an huge scoop of coconut cream. I tried adding Stevia to it and yuck. Tried honey and a splash of vanilla on the second cup and, nope, just didn't improve anything so I'm sticking to the coconut cream. After drinking it for a little over a week I find myself craving it now and it's okay! I even skipped a day when I wasn't feeling that great and wondered if I'd experience any withdrawals or noticeable symptoms of not having it that day. I'm happy to report that I felt no such things. The description on here says you can make this in a regular coffee pot or french press. I opted for the french press method but found the particles to be too big to press very easily. So now I just heat water up in my hot pot and throw an 1/8 scoop into a 2 cup liquid measuring cup, filling it to at least the cup and and a half mark. Next I stir it with a non metal spoon and let it sit for about 6 minutes. Then I stir well again and pour from that through a mesh sieve into my mug and top it off with a huge scoop of coconut cream. You will end up with a bit of Bru sludge on the bottom of your cup, but it doesn't bother me. I'd still like to find a creamer of sorts that I can have that's creamier and thicker than the coconut cream but in the mean time, it's just fine and satisfying. I am very pleased to have stumbled across this product. Next purchase I'm trying the French Roast. Thanks for making this Crio Bru - you have a new, grateful fan.*Update 11-20-2017* Tried brewing this in my coffee pot on the slow brew option and yuck! Super watery. Sticking with my hot pot and steep method.

Perfect coffee alternative
I genuinely love this stuff. As long as you don’t expect it to be sweet and prepare your mouth to expect something more akin to coffee, you’ll probably love it, too. Like coffee, you need to allow yourself time to get used to it. I didn’t like it the first few times I brewed it, but drank it for the medicinal qualities (plus I had spent money on it)… after a while, I started preferring it. I also really prefer the theobromine energy boost over a caffeine one, but unfortunately this is way more expensive so I stopped buying it.Now I’m trying to kick my caffeine addiction so I’m allowing myself I buy crio bru again. 😊

Never going back to hot chocolate
I am converted to Crio Bru! The taste is like hot chocolate without all the sugar added. I add a tablespoon or two of coconut creamer to deepen the flavor and add creaminess. I have used both a coffee maker and French press to prepare Crio Bru. I recommend the coffee maker for a more subtle flavor and the French press to get a stronger flavor. This is a great keto option if you like hot chocolate or if you just need a beverage to start your day!
