a simple but effective Godzilla story
If your going in expecting a grand tale with reflection and stuff, sorry but its not here. I think that this comic is a good fun and simple read but doesn’t require much else sadly.

My 10 year grandson rated this and said it was not what he hoped for.
There was not many monster fights and not enough pictures of Godzilla.

Comics being comics (a very good thing)
After spending so much time with the emotional, cerebral, and largely convoluted plotting of the DC universe, I found this book to be one of the most exciting I've read in a long time thanks to its expertly-executed simplicity: monsters crush cities, people kill monsters. The author found a surprisingly effective way to make the human element interesting in a brand world that is ostensibly about watching enormous monsters destroy everything, and this succeeds for me because of the terse staccato narration and the gruff dialogue, both of which strike an excellent balance dead-center between too-serious and hammy. I also found the integration of social networking services into the brief man-on-the-street narratives to be effective. Lastly, the artwork is very lively and active, with thick quick strokes that, while lacking in sharp detail, makes up for it in accuracy and personality. Gonna follow this one to the end!

Kaiju Bounty Hunter
Spoiler Free! With the latest trade release from IDW, we have Volume 1 of the new Godzilla ongoing simply called, Godzilla. This collects issues 1 to 4 with a bonus art gallery. IDW's writing team on the Godzilla series seems to be getting better with each mini-series. Though the main character feels eerily similar to the one in Kingdom of Monsters, the editing is much less jumpy and the writing more focused on a select few rather than dozens of unrelated characters who's only relation is experiencing attacks. The art leaves a bit to be desired on the human front, however the monsters and action involving them are absolutely fantastic. Godzilla is off to a tremendous start and Volume 1 left me eagerly waiting for Volume 2.

80s style art
The retro style of art is eye catching. But doesn't Appeal to most. I liked the story and style but my brother hated the art. I think its worth the price

action movie with Kaiju
This felt more like an 80s action movie than full blown Kaiju romp but it’s entertaining with a great art style
