This replacement starter fits perfectly and fixed my hard start problem

Seems to be a exact copy of the original starter that I just had to replace. Used the lawn tractor everyday this week and she starts up very well. Plenty of power from this Caltec starter. I am very satisfied with this starter. It is much cheaper than buying a Kohler starter.11/05/21 Just a few hours after writing this positive review I went to use my lawn tractor and the starter failed. Sending it back for another one.

Purchased and installed . Installed simply and easily ( only two bolts) worked perfect on my 46" club cadet lt1. Went out to mow the lawn today (after 3 weeks) and the starter just spins - no engagement to the fly wheel! Pull the starter and test it on the bench and it's spinning no problem!?! So I take the top covers off the engine and see that the starter motor is spinning the cog up and the starter motor is turning but the cog is not. To be clear the cog is engaged to the flywheel and the starter motor is cranking easy but the cog is not turning .After pulling the starter 3 times to try and reposition it ( you can't really) I tried multiple times in a row cranking the key. On the 5-6th time the cog started spinning and actually started the engine.So yea, motor on the starter sounds great and when it actually engages the cog it will turn the motor over no problem. But it shouldn't happen after a month of having the starter and only using it one day.Stay away. Buy from another vendor.

Just as described and worked perfect on my lawn mower.
