You will not find a better devotional than this, I got several for gifts for friends. Take your time in the morning with this book and THE BOOK and you will be off to a better start. God loves you, use this devotional and your Bible, if you don't have a Bible get one! We're always encouraged by our Pastors to "read your Bible" which sounds easy but when you're staring at 1000+ pages of text it can be hard to know where to start. I've found a good Daily Devotional is a great way to get into the Bible. MacArthur's daily readings usually cover a particular piece of theology over the course of a few days. For us non-theologians out there, it's a great help in getting a better understanding of such topics as the resurrection of Jesus and why it's so important .I would very highly recommend this particular devotional. Not only is it informative but the topics raised over the course of weeks and months will inspire you to take note of them for further study down the road. I'm very grateful that God has inspired Mr. MacArthur to provide such valuable insight into His Word.

Great daily devotional to grow in your Spiritual walk with Jesus. Highly recommend to everyone wanting to seek a closer Relationship with our Lord Jesus.

This is a great daily reading for reading for getting closer to God. I also read the extra scriptures it lists from my MacArthur study Bible. Helps you have understanding when the bible sometimes can be confusing when you read it. Gives you strength and a deeper faith.

I was looking for a daily devotional with some depth and not just the "lite" type like Our Daily Bread. I love MacArthur's teaching and knew this would be a good one and it is! You can just do the reading, or you can do the reading plus the "further study" suggestions after each entry. MacArthur is all about doctrine and this is packed to the hilt. This devotional is not full of anecdotes and life stories, it is full of THE WORD OF GOD. I highly recommend this to those who want the meat of the Word in their daily reading.

I bought this book for my husband because he was looking for a daily reading to do before work each day. He loves John MacArthur, so this was an obvious choice for him. He appreciates John MacArthur's accuracy using the Word of God. Although it is a daily reading which makes it a short excerpt, the readings are rich of God's truth and encouragement.
