Where are you planning to use 2 of these lights typically 180 watts 12v each light. So if you are planning to attach to house or shed / shop with 120v use a power converter capable of handling at least 500 watts 12v on two seperate lines. Mfg does not recommend more then 180 watts per line ?

Q: How well does this light do on a boat long term? I live in florida so it will see the ocean.

Here is my speculative answer so, take it as that, speculation. Many of the alloy extrusions for these low cost Chinese lamps are made from scrap to which various metals like zinc are added to enhance processing. Also, the fasteners must be corrosion resistant SS, not plated. Also, the mounting brackets must be SS. The Chinese have no reason to ensure that the alloy used conforms to spec. I have one of these installed on my tractor for nighttime illumination and so far, no issues. Just to ad, when I was in the US Navy and at sea, we washed down our RADAR director every morning with fresh water (We made our own fresh water using distillation) when at sea to reduce corrosion. When we found corrosion on weather surfaces, the old paint was removed and new paint applied. Long term? Probably will not stand up to continuous salt spray without fresh water washdown when returning to port..
