Great 4 channel amps w/ Bluetooth, USB, Aux RCA's.

The media could not be loaded. This is a great 4 channel amp.Have installed 2 at my son's who moved in to a house w/ 3 sets of built in stereo speakers and I added my large indoor 12" woofer, mid, tweeter to his living room. So, 8 channels driven. Not using Aux In. Selected Ch3&4 RCA's for Output and fed the second M4.Have 2 at my son in law's house. Same as son's he has 4 Stereo sets that came with the house. There I took his Flat panel TV output and fed the Aux RCA's in for Ch1&2, and selected Ch3&4 RCA's for Output and fed the second M4.Installed 1 in my garage driving indoor and outdoor Bose wall mounts.Bluetooth works great w/ good range. Big bonus for me is the USB. I took my old USB-2 thumb drives and copied genres or "playlists" to a bunch of them. This really is my favorite use. Plug in what I want and crank it up!This is a 4 channel amp, so each speaker has separate volume. Plenty of power. Works for me.Oddities: Looking at the front, the Channels volumes are Ch4, 3, 2, 1 left to right. Being an old time audio guy, Left is Ch1, Right is Ch2 for Stereo. I just wired it so Ch1/3 is my L, Ch2/4 my R. On the Aux input, just hook Source Red to White input, White to Red input. No big deal.Wishlist: USB has Next, Previous & Pause/Play buttons. Would love to see Next & Previous "album" and Shuffle.Update on USB use: It is a bit fussy on the thumb drive you use. Data Travelers work. Patriots USB-2 did not. PNY USB-2 no, USB-3 yes. I just bought a 10 pack of PNY 32GB USB-3.0's that work great. Cheap

Great little unit

I'd actually only give it 4.5 Stars, as there is a little bit of false advertising, but like most dating profiles, there was some exaggeration of its positive features.it says its a 50W x 4 channel system. This would mean its a 200W Amp. This is a relatively meaningless Peak value. A more Real World usable number is its RMS rating. The Power supply is 24 V at 4.5 Amps, providing a Total power capability of only 108 Watts, so that is really all you can get. And the lights, Bluetooth receiver, and other circuitry will take some of that too. This little amp is [ probably ] only putting out about 22 to 24 Watts per channel RMS. Fully acceptable numbers. No need to indulge here. I have this hooked up to 4 speakers, each rated at 8 Ohm, in an Outdoor environment, using 14 Gauge multi-strand copper speaker cable, and it plays plenty loud. I have a SPL meter, but haven't been bothered to check it, as the unit plays more than loud enough for normal back yards. It Won't get you concert level volumes, but can be loud enough to irritate your neighbors, even if they are still in their house.I've had it up to full volume with no distortion. I didn't have any 4 ohm or 2 ohm speakers available to try, but I would expect 2 Ohm speakers at full volume to play louder, but with distortion at its limits. There is no Fan, and it looks reasonably sealed to keep dust out. It doesn't look weather proof, but it doesn't claim to be. I currently have it installed Indoors, but do plan on moving it outside, under a covered deck. It wont get rained on directly, but there will be some high humidity exposure. This will probably void the warrantyI was surprised by its small form factor. it really is tiny. I actually like the removal Speaker cable mount. its a little awkward, but I found it easier to connect the speaker cables with the mount off the unit, and then press it on once all cables were locked down. The screws come all tightened, and you need to Loosen them before inserting the speaker cable.Bluetooth range is fair. I have another similar Bluetooth receiver puck that puts out Line level and TOS-Link Fiber connections, which has a little better range, but this little unit reaches almost as far. This is a sealed metal unit, made with the finest chinesium steel available, and it appears the antenna is Inside. It might have been better to have an External antenna to get an extra 10+ feet of range, but it still reaches to about 30 feet in my setup, which does have an exterior wall it its path, with 2x6 stud, insulation, sheet rock wall, and hardy board like siding.I haven't purchased a second one yet, but I am tempted to get a second, and Daisy chain them so I can have a the same music playing on some indoor speakers at the same time. There are RCA style Input and Outputs on the back, which the documentation shows to be there for exactly this purpose.Having Individual volume controls is a Plus and a Minus. There is no Master volume. but you can use your source device ( aka iPhone ) to adjust that. but you Do get the ability to raise or lower speakers individually, so you can Boost a far away speaker, or lower nearby speakers, to get a better overall level etc. The volume control knobs are anodized aluminum ( or aluminium if your in Europe / Canada )I would buy again, and probably will.

Great unit for supporting two sets of speakers using same signal

UPDATE: Just after the warranty expired the Bluetooth capabilities failed. I contacted the vendor and while they would not replace the unit, they did provide me an essentially new unit by sending me an entirely new circuit board for $10 shipping. Swapping out the circuit board is fairly straight forward if you have done this kind of thing before. The replacement board now has a working Bluetooth connection. I have to give this vendor credit for basically replacing the unit out of warranty. I stand by my original review - it is a nice unit.ORIGINAL: I just installed this, so it's early. I have two sets of speakers in the same room that require a different volume setting in order to be properly balanced. This unit does a great job sending the same sound source to two different speakers. My sound source is a Mac using BT, so master volume is controlled on my Mac. The documentation is a little lacking - I have included a diagram of how the volume controls are mapped to stereo signals - I may have missed it, but I could not find it in the documentation. Overall I really like it so far.

Tiny Powerhouse!!!

Replaced an older Yamaha Receiver 50wx4 with the Douk Audio M4. Mostly because it lacked Bluetooth.I'm blown away by this tiny powerhouse.Paired with 4 Cambridge Audio Cubes and 100 w powered Cambridge Audio powered sub, ( and Fisher 18 channel eq for turntable).I'm speechless how such a small package can pump out so many watts.Saved space and increased output= win-win.
