Yay! It works with G5x mk2!
The key thing is after pairing, you have to go into the Drive Mode and select the new option (a little Wireless Remote icon…) in that menu, and then it works! I suspect other Canon cameras work the same way, and all of the people writing negative nancy reviews here on Amazon don’t RTFM and see that required post-pairing step. 🤭👀📖

Works perfectly
Does it's job for much less than the OEM remote from Canon.

Works with my Canon EOS M6 Mark II
This is a remote control for various Canon cameras. The device measures about 3.5” long by 1” wide by 0.25” thick. It has buttons for shutter, autofocus, wide angle and telephoto on end and a large loop for a lanyard on the other. On the side is a switch for still photos, 2 second delay, or video. It comes with a wrist strap lanyard. It is powered by a CR2032 battery. To open the battery compartment, you need a very tiny jeweler’s screwdriver. Communications with the camera is via Bluetooth.I find this remote works fine with my Canon EOS M6 Mark II camera. The paper manual for the remote doesn’t provide instructions for pairing with the camera or setting the camera to use remote. Instead, the manual says to check your camera manual. Or, you can simply dig through all your camera menus. I was able to pair the remote by turning on Bluetooth pairing in the camera’s communications menu and turn on remote with the self-timer selection in the camera’s drive mode menu. In order to use the wide angle/telephoto options, you need a power zoom adapter (sold separately). One thing I don’t like about this remote is that there is no power off button, so it could be easy to wear down the battery by accidently pressing the shutter button constantly if you were to carry this remote in your pocket. Overall, the functionality of this remote is good, but the instructions are not complete and battery use and changing is not ideal.

Complete and total waste of time
Once in a while you just get the feeling that Amazon/China really aren't on the up and up. Probably the high price of this was the tip off, but I just knew something was off. I tried this with both an EOS R and an M50 (both listed as compatible in the product description). Both paired easily, both said "connected" on the camera with a serial number displayed. Press the shot button and…nothing. No response at all from the cameras. Re-paired just in case. Same (non-) result. So it must be broken. Returned and replaced by Amazon in their usual trouble free manner. I'm sure you can guess the outcome. The replacement behaved exactly the same. I will send this on to someone who I think has a Ti series and will report back if they can get it to work. For now, this is useless plastic. Pull out the battery before you throw it away so that you at least get something for your money.AddendumEven if this did work:This is way too expensive for what it is. Even if you can use the lens controls which most cannot, for $10 more you can have a full featured wireless intervalometer. I suppose if you absolutely would never want to move beyond the built in camera timed release, you might want to save the few dollars and get this. But if you ever have an inkling to do a time lapse or perhaps just an endless stream of shots, like when doing a group family shot, you really need a timed release that can be programmed.Stay away. Get a real intervalometer.

Not really worth the buy
Connecting the remote to my Canon T8i via Bluetooth was easy, but using the remote to take pictures doesn’t work so well. There is a lag, it only works with the 2 timer functions (2 sec & 10 sec), and sometimes it doesn’t work
