Some of the reviews didn’t rate this product very highly but I it perfectly suitable for me needs, I am using the third hand to hold stems of flowers still to take macro photos. I was impressed with the weight and stability of the product … the clips are not the best, the teeth on one side are slightly out of alignment but it works ok and wasn’t expensive

The base is better if clamped to the work surface. Otherwise the helping hands will move even with light pressure

Unless this seller isn't sending customers the right thing on here or perhaps selling a fake one to this, I do not understand why would anyone condemn this nice strange looking yet effective gadget.For me, I've bought similar on ebay and it is robust and stays put when soldering wires. I used to use two chairs to aid soldering. It has changed my DIY life to some extent.Look, please if you're not happy with some reviewers then simply buy it off another seller. I'm very angry with myself why didn't I get this a long time prior? I recommend it absolutely without any iota of reservation.

This just didn't do the job for me. The build quality is very poor. Almost everything depends on a single screw, which would not do up tightly enough to hold the assembly upright - it repeatedly flopped over in use.The base is neither big nor heavy enough to support the rest of the assembly. Once again, it kept falling over.Returned for full refund.

If you're like me, you're often in the garage tinkering on something alone. These are helpful set of hands to have around. I used my to solder wires on my motorcycle. I found it helpful as the base fit into smaller access points in my motorcycle where i needed to solder wire connections directly on the bike. Easy to reconfigure unit to get the claws where I needed, even putting both on the same side. Magnifying class seemed helpful, but I did not use due to the tightness of my workspace. I highly suggest adding heat-shrink to the claws. They are strong and seemed they would cut into wire casing on smaller wires. My wiring work on my motorcycle would have been significantly more difficult without this unit. Even my spouses hands would have been more difficult because her hands are still larger than this unit.

Bought flexible three helping hands which are extremely useless so decide to buy Weller Clamps. The clamps and clips on this Weller are well made and strong. Very happy with this item.
