No One Writes to the Colonel: and Other Stories (Perennial Classics)

Great work by Gabriel Garcia. Should be read along with all his other work.

Even though Marquez considered it as his best novel, I do not think it can be compared with his 100 Years of Solitude or Love in the Time of Cholera. No matter what Marquez's works are "magical".

It seemed to take a while to ship, but not excessively so. Also, a few of the pages were bent - not sure if this was pre-existing or if it happened during shipping. Otherwise, minimal marks and a good value for the price.

As advertised. Thanks. The condition was fine, the cover good and the pages untorn. Small amount of highlighting and writing. My question is, why do I have to write twenty words?

What more can you expect from Gabriel? It's an enjoyable read.

Jimmy Buffet has this on his top ten all time favorite books, so it is in my library now. Will read it soon.

An excellent translation of Garcia Marques's short stories.The work is exact word by word. Wish they publish the original in Spanish as well. As a student of Spanish literary, this work is a great help.

Fine but short story full of vivid descriptions of unnamed South American country and engaging & colourful characters. Is that enough?
