The solution to the myQ problem
I have a Chamberlain/LiftMaster myQ garage door (not by choice, it came with my place). For those of you who are unaware, in late 2023, Chamberlain myQ took the vehemently anti-consumer measure of disabling support for the Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa, and their Home Assistant API (which in-turn broke Apple HomeKit support too) for their products. Why? To force their customers to use the myQ app to open/close their garage door instead of using Google Home, Amazon Alexa, or Apple Home/Siri. The myQ app has ads, so they make more money that way. Chamberlain myQ wants to force you to view ads.I refuse to be forced to view ads. I refuse to use a garbage app (seriously, the myQ app is horrible, so much latency and delay in commands). Unfortunately, buying a new garage door wasn't an option because I don't own the property, I rent it. After doing some digging online, I came across this device. Much cheaper than buying a new garage door too. I bought it, and I also contacted Meross Support to get the special adapter required for Chamberlain/LiftMaster myQ garage doors (they sent the adapter for free btw). I received the device within 2 days via Prime shipping and the adapter came 3 days later.I highly recommend installing the Meross app on your phone before starting installation. The installation instructions in the app are much better than the paper instructions that come in the box as the app instructions has pictures to follow along with. The adapter installation was extremely easy, it's basically just programming an additional garage door remote that stays connected to the device. With the simple app instructions, it took less than 30 minutes to install from start-to-finish and it could be quicker than that if you have a smaller garage (my garage has high ceilings, so I had to pull out my ladder to install the sensors). The device is perfect. It quickly connects to WiFi and has near zero latency upon command. It works with Google Home, Amazon Alexa, and Home Assistant and it also works with Apple HomeKit without needing the Home Assistant API as it comes with an Apple HomeKit sticker on the device itself (as an Apple Home user, I am very pleased with this).Thank you Meross for saving us from myQ.

Works Great with Genie Garage Door Opener
I have 2 garage door with Genie 1024 and this works. Installation is easy. Double sided tape, screws, tie wrap are included. Just remember to unplug your garage opener when hooking up the leads. I already have Meross light switches installed so I am familiar with the Meross App. Meross do not need a hub and connects directly to 2.4 wifi. Google home and Apple Homekit works. I just wish the wires came in white instead of black since most ceilings are white.

Finally a good MyQ fix for Homekit
When we purchased our new home I wanted a smart garage door and got a MyQ belt drive unit. Apparently I didn’t research enough because it didn’t work with HomeKit without an expensive adapter. I soon set up a Raspberry Pi with Home Assistant and that helped connect and control the opener with HomeKit. Then late 2023 MyQ decided to block other integrations and it broke again.I did my research now and picked up the HomeKit version of this unit that can control 3 doors as I have. 3 car garage with 2 doors. The opener is a chamberlain with the yellow button so you can’t wire it to the main unit. So after I ordered I went to meross site and filled out the form for 2 adapters and I had those within a week. It basically a compatible remote opener with the wires soldered to the remote buttons to trigger the opener. You clip that to the wires they have for triggering the door.It needs its own door position sensors so it knows if the door is open or closed. They are fairly easy to set up, but the length of the cables may dictate where you locate the controller box.Usually a garage may have issues with your WiFi connection depending on location of your router. I don’t have that issue as I have an eero system and hardwired Ethernet into my garage at placed a WiFi node in there. I have it in a box for dust protection and placed to meross controller in the box too.So in the end this unit works better and faster than the Home Assistant setup (which is broken for good now) and I now get all the benefits of HomeKit integration. We get notices when the door opens and closes and I have the garage lights come on with open and turn off after 10 minutes of being closed. The door open function shows on CarPlay and I can ask Siri to open and close. Exactly what I want. I wired up the sensors for the second opener even though I won’t install that until this spring, but it tells me if the second door is open or closed now too.A great add to a MyQ system that should have included this functionality to begin with but wanted to be unfriendly to consumers.

Great Product
Great product, however it says can control 3 doors yet there are only 2 connecting wires supplied? we had to purchase seperately from their website. We couldn't another phone to the Meross app however it did work in the Apple home app other than that it works great
