Great upgrade for replacement rim
My son in law had a rim that was rusting through. I decided to purchase a replacement hoping it would fit the generic backboard. No problem- fit was perfect and really improved the playability of the hoop. Can’t wait for my grandson to get a little bit older so we can play some ball together on this!!!

Very good quality
I have one of the spalding hoops i bought for my kids when the pandemic started. The whole setup was pretty sturdy, except for the rim, which was easily damaged to the point that my kids didn't enjoy playing basketball anymore. I bought this rim to see if it would fit. Perfect fit! Honestly, this rim is legit and solidly built. The spring is great for dunking, and the ball bounce out feels solid. It feels like solid steel.

THIS ITEM SHATTERED OUT GLASS BACKBOARD
If I could give this product a zero stars I would it ruined our complete basketball court. It’s completely shattered our backboard and it’s gonna cost hundreds of not thousands of dollars to replace the glass. Do not buy this product.
