CURT56040 Vehicle-Side Custom 4-Pin Trailer Wiring Harness, Fits Select Subaru Ascent, Forester, Outback, Crosstrek, XV , Black

Installed in my 2014 Outback this afternoon. Needed to do a few minor modifications. Cut off and crimped on the supplied larger ground terminal so it would fit on an existing screw. Add split tubing over the wire for extra protection. The opening in the back for the wire to go through was slightly too small for the 4 pin connector to go through, so I enlarged it slightly and then filled it with sealant. Other than that, it installed easily and worked perfectly.

This kit was easy to install on my 2019 Subaru Forester. It took me about 45 minutes to install and worked seamlessly. If you are experienced with pulling out trim panels your install would probably be faster.To install you'll need a drill and a screwdriver. A trim panel tool is a nice to have, but you can get away without it.

Super easy plug-n-play on my Subaru Forester XT, the most work was finding where they hid the wires in my trunk.

Installed on my wife's 2019 Subaru Accent. Plugged right into the factory harness and ran the trailer plug through an existing gromet. Works perfectly and an easy install.

works just like it should. the install is relatively easy and instructions are pretty good. the only difficulty was that Subaru has the connector hiding - tucked up high inside the inside fender cover. difficult to reach - not dangling with slack in the wire as the instructions indicate. but once you get the plug located it's pretty easy

Installation was even easier than it seems in the instructions. Pop out some plastic fasteners, pull out the sill plate and plug in the harness.My only complaint is that the foam tape was completely useless. The adhesive had no stickiness at all. Luckily I had some industrial strength Velcro on hand.

Plug and play. Came with everything needed to install and mount, plus some extra zip ties.

Bought a new trailer and needed lights. This was so easy to install and I had it hooked up in minutes with zero issues. Works great. Excellent build quality. Just what I needed

On my 2024 Crosstrek convenience very easy to install following the online video. Just a plug an play. Have to drill one hole for a ground. Also, may be helpful if you have trim tool, to pop the foam off and the trim that sits on the lip of the trunk (my clips did not break). Stores really nicely tucked in the trim and the cord coiled up with the spare.
