I looked at all the similar metric thumb nuts I could find on Amazon. I ordered a few different types (including some that are all stainless steel). These turned out to work best in my application, which surprised me. These are plastic with brass inserts and very inexpensive compared to the others I purchased. To have them perform the best was unexpected.These are the less common type of plastic thumb nuts that allow the stud / bolt to go all the way through. They do not have a smooth cap, but instead are open. That's the feature I needed, and it is not easy to find in this style of nut.I purchased a very similar type of finger nut in which the plastic knobs are hollowed out on the underside. While that does not impact functionality in a major way, in my application that hollow area collects powder material and makes cleaning the equipment more difficult.I'm happy to say that these are completely solid plastic with no spaces to collect dirt, dust or anything else. I feel this one is a superior design and better value (15 items instead of 12 for the other at almost the same price).

These look to be good quality, fit, and sturdy. Would recommend to others. My one wish is that these were availability in SAE at same price point.

Sturdy and well made! Precision injection molded star knobs without any sharp edges and high gloss appearance. Perfect form fitting bond with inserted brass thread shaft. I ordered the 32x piece assortment (M4 - M10), and the above described qualities apply to all sizes!

It’s easy to use and sturdy

They work for what we are using them for but I had one crack in half after one use. I haven't used them since so not sure if it was a fluke or if it is an issue.

Used these to replace a wing nut on a clamp I used to modify my wheelchair. These made it easier for me to operate the clamp one handed.

I get these and associate thumb bolts, so I don't need any tools to put it together or take things apart. Love them.
