My old elgato chat link cable is still in very good condition but I ordered it as it blocks charging noise. Plus I think if my old chat link cable having rubber wires is still working good then this braided cable should last forever.

No Second Thoughts, if it is an Elgato!
I already had an Elgato Chat Link, but my new setup needed a longer cable. So, decided to go for it. It delivers what you expect and the braided cable increases durability. It also effectively eliminates all the line noise that you might be facing with your regular cable setup.Must buy for console/mobile game streamers and content creators.
