Magic Sliders 24 Pcs 29mm

Purchased these for my wooden dining room chairs that had metal pieces instead. They worked great since I could pop out the old ones and put in these instead, the nail hole was already there too. Perfect size, but make sure you're buying the right diameter for your needs.On my tile floor, these do make a fair amount of noise when the chair is moved and no one is sitting on it. When you sit on it and move the chair, it's much more quiet. It doesn't scratch the floors, which is the main reason I got them for. I wish they were a little more quiet when the chair moved but that's my biggest complaint, everything else is great. Chair moves with ease and they're pretty sturdy.

I purchased and compared 4 different sliders on dining room chairs on medium pile carpet. Surprisingly, the Hillman group stick-on type (light grey) from Lowes are the best by far. Superslider tap-on (dark brown - amazon) are 2nd. Hillman tap-on (light grey) are 3rd. Magic sliders nail-on were horrible - returned to Amazon.

These nail-on sliders are well-made and sturdy, and a great value ($10.27 for 24 pcs). You'll pay three times that at the big box stores. The nails on these sliders are heavy duty and do not bend easily. However, I would pre-drill or punch a small hole before nailing, especially installing on hardwood chairs.

If you bought these so your chairs wouldn't scratch, wait until the nail goes through the plastic and REALLY scratches the floor. The best thing I have found are felt, self stick pads.

Quality product at a good price

perfect for wood floors, they are gentle but don't collect grime and pet hair like the felt ones do.

Turns out they made it harder to move the chairs on the Berber carpet. I bought the wrong thing.

Slide well. Sometimes difficult to hammer into furniture legs.
