I'll be candid. I am almost 60 years old and I am sexually active. This keeps PH in check and corrects any imbalance after being with a partner. It takes a few hours for the capsule to dissolve (maybe 4) and can be felt during intercourse if it has not dissolved and is visible as a white powder (on partner). If I need the freshness in a hurry, I will open the capsule and insert powder manually. I have never been burned, irritated or had any discomfort. This product does make me produce a lot of natural lubrication so planning is required - timing and panty liner. You know how it is: a little smelly, yellowish, and just more than normal and I was feeling gross. These are the symptoms I get when I have BV. Usually it goes away on its own but this was stubborn for over a week, not getting worse or I would have gone to the dr. I have always heard about boric acid helping out to keep the pH at the right level so I bought these. I waited a week to see if things would resolve and I finally used one as directed. Let me tell you, the next day what a difference. NO discharge. NO odor. Very dry (like normal) and no having to change underwear . I will use again one or two more days but amazing what it does to restore the pH.I was scared of side effects but I had none. If you have a really serious issue see the doctor but minor stuff, give it a try.

Very effective at treating odors. I usually use it for a day ot two occasionally to help keep all fresh, or about 5-7 days if there's actually an infection. Can absolutely tell when it restores pH as the area will gush fluid maybe 20 or so hours later when rebalanced. It's nice to get a confirmation like that that there is an actual positive effect. One star removed only for price, but have bought these many, many times over the years as they do work incredibly.
