Fenix HT18 1500 Lumen 1011 Yards Long-Range Rechargeable Hunting Light, Red, Green Filters and LumenTac Organizer

I bought a different brand knockoff that looked nice and returned it as it was junk and poorly designed internally. I purchased the Fenix H18 and could not be happier. It illuminates farther than you can see. I am an R&D machinist, CNC machinist/instructor at a Tech University by trade and the quality is superior along with the design. I highly recommend and as they list in the flyer beware of Knockoff Fenix and be sure it comes from USA distributor. Fenix is number one for lighting up the world around you. It actually throws light almost a half mile that you can clearly make out the object. 1500 lumens isn't a lot but their design, lens, and reflector multiplies the illumination to 221000+candela. This extends the battery life by a lot (hours) unlike other brands of 5 minutes at this range. Great job Fenix and I would very much like to test and review all of your products. I am fussy and honest reviewing worthwhile products, services or unfortunately really bad. Cut to the chase to help better manufacturers or consumers.

Battery must be remove from light for charging.Disappointed in the very narrow focus of the beam. Not as useful for hunting as the ancient lead/acid battery spotlight I am still using. I wanted a replacement for the old one but this is a step down.It reaches farther but only in a tunnel vision spot.Could not get battery to charge initially and it may not be chargeable with Apple ‘blocks’ or wall adapters.

Very bright and focused beam, but still a little spill. Very impressed with distance of illumination. If you're looking for a long distance search light, this is an excellent option. If you're looking for a light to have a wide beam and a lot of spill (like I prefer for basic tasks and walking trails) Fenix has better options. Light models have different intended uses, make sure it lines up with your expectations.

The THROW machine, that’s what it does, and does it well! It’s too tight to use in close quarters. But if you’re outside and need to light something up at 50-500’ feet this thing is amazing. It throws far with minimal spill so your night vision isn’t wrecked by close area light pollution. Seriously when you light this thing on high the first time you’ll feel like you’re wielding a light saber.A friend is a deputy sheriff and I showed him this one night and he was like “holy s***”!He immediately ordered one. It’s a little big for edc and actually a little big for his utility belt but he keeps it on hand for night searches.I’m not a fan of the grip finish, I prefer a knurled grip area and this is machined with slots. But it works ok.

The brightness is unbelievable and has lasted a few days of off and on use on the highest setting. You can easily see and identify a small animal the size of a cat at 195 yards.
