Muscle Car Chronicle Hardcover – August 15, 2016

When I first opened this book I thought I was going to be very disappointed with it. The book is nothing but color photos of cars with captions / narratives under them. I was expecting descriptions and facts concerning the cars (the book is laid out in sections as years (1949-1959; 1960; 1961; etc.)). With the number of high quality pictures and the way the author wrote everything under each picture you get all of the facts / information concerning that vehicle you probably want. I was not expecting this styled layout to be that informative. The book itself is a very nice quality hard back book that looks great sitting out on your coffee table on display.

Got a copy of this book cheap. It's a very handsomely presented coffee table book. Or an interesting Sunday afternoon read. The book is written in chronological order from the 1940s up until the present day, and showcases the various stages of evolution of the American Muscle Car, from it's early, humble beginnings in the Oldsmobile 88 and the Rocket V8 all the way to the new ZL1 Camaros and Shelby GT500s. The book is littered with hundreds of pictures, diagrams, old advertisements, and tables. There is no shortage of information about anything in this book, and as a bigtime motorhead myself even I learned quite a bit from the book. If you are a car fan big or small, you'd do well to own a copy of this book!

This book is very nice for the money that I paid for it, The cover is nicely done, the book itself is thick and heavy, and there are a ton of pictures for my car enthusiest eight year old to look at. I'm not disappointed at all in this purchase.

Great book! Gives all the specs for engines and transmissions. Wonderful pictures. If you grew up in the 50’s and 60’s and love cars, this is the book for you?

Purchased this book for my 11 year old nephew who is a veritable encyclopedia of facts about the American Muscle cars. He really loved expanding his knowledge and seeing some great pictures

Stumbled upon this coffee table book while renting a vacation home. Could not put it down. Each chapter is a model year. Lots of photos with brief descriptions/back stories and relevant data in concise graphs. Love it.
