Absolutely thrilled: great sustain, great value
My uke band is going to play the theme from Hawaii Five-O for an upcoming show. If you know the theme music, it features a vibra-slap in the intro. I tried shopping locally first and found a vibra-slap by Latin Percussion at around fifty dollars, that's also more or less the Amazon price, but it's sustain was paltry, no matter how I adjusted it. This one has at least double the sustain of the latin percussion model, and a great tone, for half the cost. I'm super-pleased with the purchase and overnight delivery.

Good sustain.
Well made, sustains well if you hold it properly, volume is not overly loud.

Listen for this at the beginning of "Sweet Emotion"
This one is not quite as good as an LP vibra-slap, but still good and produces a cool sound with three choices of sustain. This instrument is what Steven Tyler used (and broke, but they left the sound of it breaking in the final mix), during the opening of Aerosmith's 1975 hit "Sweet Emotion."

Vibra SLAP!
Oh this is so much fun. Great addition to the percussion instruments I bring to accompany the guitar around the camp fire. Fantastic sound, seems well made, and a great size.

Not as loud nor as much 'spring' as some Vibra-slap models. Striker ball and wood box pretty light.

I've been looking for this item for a LONG time
Essential disco percussion effect. ("Disco rattle", also used at the beginning of Ozzy Ozzborne's "Crazytran") Great at parties.

I like how it rattles longer than the L.P. one I had in the '90s.
