Brilliant! Just what u was looking for.
I purchased this head torch after being let down by another bought for twice the price. It promised the world but broke after one use due to bad design and was not fit for purpose..Thankfully this one was different.PROS:Very bright light with 4 great settings. As for charging. It comes with UK plug adaptor, EU adaptor and USB which is great. You can feel the quality and its not a cheepy chatty made item. It does not get tangled up after every use due to the rigid head support but it is still easily adjusted to your liking.Battery lasts a long time I have currently used this for 2 night fishing sessions and a night walk with the dog. (see video) Roughly 8 hours use on and off.CONS:battery pack is quite large and a little heavy and I think this product is best used whilst wearing a wooly hat. This isn't a big deal for me at all but it's worth a mention.Overall a great purchase. Cheers!

First class light
Some people do not have a clue . I found this product to be a good product , the soft rubber battery cover is soft because its against your head and you would soon be moaning if it was hard plastic on the back of you head. To the reviewer that said the batteries move in the battery pack i have only this to say to you TIGHTEN THE HEAD STRAP when you do the battery pack is designed to fit on the back of you head so if you make sure it fits you head properly the batteries DO NOT MOVE and the WATER DOES NOT GET INTO THIS UNIT.

VERY bright headlight - but how durable??
VERY bright headlight - with the central light on, it's probably close to a car headlight in intensity. Used mountain biking in the woods at night and it feels almost like doing it in the daytime! The only downside is that it doesn't take long to drain the battery pack if you have it on full. I estimate around 4-5h usage, but that's plenty unless you're contemplating an all nighter :DUpdate: One of the torches has suddenly stopped working after only a handful of uses. I suspect a broken connection between the two batteries. Returning it to Amazon - hoping the other one lasts a bit longer

Superb torch
This is a very bright light! The lens is adjustable so the light can be changed from a thin beam to a very wide angle. At wide angle the light is still very bright. The manufacturer - unfortunately does not state how many lumens of light this can deliver. The battery case can hold one or two batteries. The batteries are wired in parallel, which is something I have never seen before. The torch will run from a single 18650 lithium rechargeable battery at full brightness. The use of two batteries doe not change the brightness, what it does is provide a longer operating life before you need to change them.I haven't tested the battery life, but given the manufacturers specifications, a single battery will provide 1.5 to 3 hours. Two batteries will power the torch for 3-6 hours. The torch has a single flash mode where it flashes at quite a high rate. If you're in the mountains and in need of rescue, this might even be useful to alert the emergency services to your location, in which case you might want to keep a single battery in your pocket as an emergency battery only. The construction of the torch feels solid, I particularly like the sturdy metal of the lantern itself. The battery case is covered in a rubber cover, it is easy to remove. It looks as if the case would provide some level of water ingress protection (though no IP rating is specified). I might be reluctant to use this torch in heavy rain or where jets of water are present, unless I took steps to protect the battery compartment further, perhaps by wrapping a small plastic bag around it or using electrical insulation tape around the edge to prevent the cover from coming off.Think carefully when buying additional sets of spare batteries ( for example, if you're planning on using for more than say 4 hours out in the countryside). The batteries vary a lot in price and in capacity. Some batteries are protected against over current and some are not.Personally, if I'm going to have a torch fastened to my head with potentially dangerous lithium batteries which can deliver a high amount of current, over heat and possibly even catch fire, and I'm going out in the rain, I want to use batteries that have sufficient over current protection. Thus, replacement batteries that have protection built in are going to be expensive! Be prepared for that. This torch may be too bright for cycling on the road with other road users present..I have read the comments from other users that the torch only works for a few hours and then the batteries won't charge.I haven't had mine long enough to do any tests, but what I can say is this:The batteries are standard 18650 format lithium rechargeable cells. These can be readily brought along with chargers for them. So even if the manufacturer supplied batteries fail, or if the manufacturer supplied charger fails then you do not need to be left with a completely defunct torch. Replace the batteries. Admittedly you should not have to do this, and this does add considerably to the overall price. The Cree T6 LED is very bright, if the design of the torch is that the LED chip is not sufficiently cooled, if too much current is pushed through it, then the life of the chip will be shortened. Some torches are so bright they can only be turned on at full brightness for short periods of time. There appears to be no such restriction with this torch. I hope they have done the design right that such a bright torch and the LED chip heating up doesn't shorten the long term life of this torch. Only time will tell.

Nearly burnt the house down
Bought this for some night work felling trees along a roadside, The head lamp unit itself is very good, performing faultlessly, the battery lasts longer than described and fits nicely on my helmet so no issues thereHowever on the second time of charging it there was a loud pop and lots of smoke coming from the charger so I quickily whipped it out the wall socket before it caught light. After some investigation (see pictures) it seems the charger is faulty and had it happened 5 mins later I would of been out and who knows what damage it could of caused.

Torch great. Dangerous charger.
The torch itself is excellent . The charger however is not so great. First time I used it and pulled it out of the socket, it left the live pin sticking out of the socket! Had to call an electrician to replace socket. On Insoection, the charger is cheap plastic and no doubt made in China! Still waiting for the replacement charger who’ll they tell me Will take me 7 to 14 days to replace??? Useless torch without a charger!
