The quality of the prints are very good for an inkjet printer. I find the quality of the paper affects the outcome. The higher quality paper produces very good prints where as poorer quality paper (usually cheaper) are good for draft or preview prints.

You can usually tell when your ink is running low, right? If the Printer Utility Ink Supply App doesn’t inform you that you’re nearly empty, then your print outs become fainter and fainter. My experience with Canon is such that it can be extremely frustrating using a generic product from Mr Ink or similar, as the printer will not accept them. Best to shell out for the real thing at a competitive price.

I use branded ink as have had problems in the past with non branded inks.You get what you pay for.
