CLIF BarEnergy Bars - Chocolate Brownie - (2.4 Ounce Protein Bars,)

First and foremost, this chocolate brownie bar is friggin' delicious. Seriously. It's better than a lot of desserts I've had. And it's made from all quality ingredients. For something a little different, put it in the microwave for a few seconds for a warm, moist treat. Yum! That said, this bar is high in sugar and carbohydrates, so it's better for people who are more active or maybe using it as part of a meal replacement strategy (a vitamin supplement may be necessary if using as a meal replacement). Also, as a father of two healthy and active boys I'd much rather see them eat something like this as a filling and tasty snack than most of the other crap out there that's loaded with chemicals and other unhealthy ingredients. These bars also have a relatively low fat content (only 1.5 grams of saturated fat), and they also yield 9 grams of protein and 4 grams of fiber, which is pretty good and will help fend off hunger and urges to snack for a good while. Another big positive is that these Clif bars are significantly less expensive on a per-ounce basis than most other healthier protein/energy bars out there.For me, I'm using these as a partial meal replacement (along with a vitamin supplement) and for an energy boost and snack before my daily workout routine. I'm taking these in conjunction with a whey protein drink pre workout so I have fuel for overall energy and to feed my muscles without having to eat a filling meal. So for me these Clif bars fit in very well with my particular lifestyle strategy. If I were nitpicking, I'd prefer a little less sugar/carbs and a little more protein, and I'd rather the protein come from whey rather than soy, but given the overall quality of ingredients on offer along with the relatively low price and outstanding flavor I'm still thrilled with this product. Highly recommended, especially for a pre-workout boost, as part of a meal replacement strategy, or as a relatively healthy snack for active kids.

The chocolate brownie ones taste the best the chocolate chip doesn't have no flavor brownies is the best so buy those and it taste good one on your when you're on a ride

These are nice because they don’t really melt in the heat like other chocolate covered bars do. They have a lot of oats in them so they have a nice chewy texture. Bonus points: chocolate chips, too! (And protein.)

Excellent cliff bars which are far less expensive than buying from a grocery store or even directly from cliff.Amazon is about $1.20 per bar vs $1.5 - 2 per bar in the store.

Chocolate Brownie Clif Bars are a good source of protein for my son who has a high metabolism. He burns through calories so fast. These are a welcome addition to his snacks.
