The locking mechanism is easy for cats to figure out.
This is a good cat door unless you have a smart cat. We have a very smart cat who figured out how to unlock the cat door. Not only does he let himself out but our other cats as well. I have ordered a different door with a different type of locking mechanism. The way the locks slide from left to right on this one makes it possible for a cat to unlock it.

Best purchase in a LONG time
Lock feature works great—but I took mine off because I didn’t trust my kiddos not to accidentally lock my cat out lol. They are super easy to get back on if I need to get them back on though! The magnet strength is perfect—strong enough to close itself back into the right position but not too strong that my cat can’t get in and out with ease. I love that I no longer have to keep my mudroom door cracked. I just shut it and trust that my cat is protected and can get to where she needs to be when she needs to be there. Easy install—the template is perfect and instructions are easy to follow.

Easy to install, but the slide locks don't stay put
My cat locked herself out of the house by brushing up against the slide locks. I'll be super-gluing that sucker so that she's not stuck out in the dead of winter as she was recently.

Easy to install
Seems like very good quality, easy to install, and saves having to continuously open the door for the cats. Just have to convince them it's safe to use, a few of the many are skittish about it. They'll come around sooner or later.
