Spoons is a great game anyways, but combining it with celebrating and educating about these impressive women makes it even better. We love this.

Did not like the subject matter. Well-designed for play.

The general gameplay has nothing to do with the characters on the cards. Indeed they could be blank with only the header (film, music, politics, etc) and you could still play. I think most people who would buy this would want to have the opportunity to learn about these women and their accomplishments, but there is not time for any of that in this fast-paced game. The header and the color of the card is all you will be focused as you quickly try to find all cards of one category and then grab one of the pioneer cards from the middle.If you are going to buy a set of cards, then it doesn’t hurt to have strong women on them. Maybe you could play this game with a little girl and inspire them to want to be like one of the women (maybe not Kim Kardashian).However, the people they chose to be on the cards is cringeworthy. First there is Ellen DeGeneres who has been in the center of some scandals lately. But I could overlook that one. The big problem is that this game calls Elliot Page by his previous name (Ellen Page) and uses the female pronouns. This game is trying to be progressive and I am sure it was correct when the game was designed, but it kind of ruins the whole theme of the game.
