I got this assortment, as well as some other kits/motors, for my grandkids (8-11) for Christmas and to be honest they weren’t used much while I was there. They did build the name-brand cars I got them for examples of what they could build, but I think they are still a bit overwhelmed by this assortment as there are no simple to follow instructions. I’m confident they will get to using this assortment once they get bored with all their other gifts.Comparing these pieces to the original Technic parts in their cars, I found these to be accurately sized and they appear similar in quality to the originals. I didn’t test for strength but the several pieces I assembled went together as easily as the ones from their cars. I’m confident they will be used a lot and a big assortment will come in handy.

My youngest son has recently gotten into Lego mechanical builds and robotics and I got these as a more cost effective way for him to enjoy his new hobby. All of the sets I purchased work with his name brand pieces too!

This kit of technic compatible parts provides flexibility in construction of whatever you can imagine. Each set of parts come in their own sealed bag and can be used with existing kits or built as is into whatever you want. Price is very affordable compared to name brand options.

Quick and easy way to add a buncha technic pieces to your kit. Not official, but I've had no issue using them with the regular technic.

I enjoyed playing with the name-brand mechanical sets when I was a kid and still have quite a lot on hand for my kids, so I decided to add a few more pieces. This set has a decent variety of newer pieces and seems to be perfectly compatible with the major name brand. I did find myself wishing for even more variety as I was building the pictured helicopter, but I guess there's only so many options with the given piece count. Still, this should make a decent addition to an existing collection. The one small issue is that some of the pieces (just a couple) seemed a bit rough and weaker than the name brand. The manufacturer seems to have skimped on the plastic in these 1-2 specific pieces. It would be nice if they were more solid or at least less rough.

My son is 4 years old and has autism and he loves legos/building blocks and watching people put things together with them like on YouTube. He loves playing with these in an attempt to do the same thing but I can tell he is putting things together in his head, like when he started making the gears connect and turn each other. These were high quality and sturdy pieces and worked with his existing lego stash. No missing pieces either. Overall, I would highly recommend this for any kid, especially for the price.
