The installation is extremely easy with all the included guides, it doesn’t take much time. Video quality is great despite the selected fisheye mode (image correction), although It would be better if the image was not distorted in its edges when turning on the correction, but anyway quality isn’t decreased. Motion detection for several actors is available, as in any other Tapo camera, so it can be used not just as a video doorbell but as a camera. The included chime is louder than expected, but it’s wifi range is not as good as the doorbell one (both devices tested at the same location away from the router). To summarize, it is a great doorbell for its value. Would recommend if you have a strong wifi signal otherwise consider adding a repeater somewhere in between to avoid connectivity loss and little delay live video.

I got the Tapo D230S1 doorbell camera for myself, and I’ve honestly been really happy with it. The video quality is super clear—it’s 2K, so you can actually see people’s faces in detail, and the wide-angle view shows everything from head to toe, even if someone’s standing close to the door. What really surprised me is the color night vision. Most doorbells just show grainy black-and-white at night, but this one actually gives you a clear, colored image, even in low light.The battery lasts a long time, which is great because I didn’t want something I’d constantly have to recharge. And the motion detection is pretty smart—it knows when it’s a person and not just a car driving by. I also like that it sends alerts if someone tries to mess with it, which gives a little extra peace of mind. The two-way audio is really useful too—I’ve used it a bunch of times to talk to delivery drivers when I’m not home.Setup was super simple, and it works smoothly with Alexa. No subscriptions, no headaches—just a solid, well-designed smart doorbell that does exactly what I need. Definitely recommend it if you want something reliable without spending a fortune.

This thing is pretty neat. I bought it during a sale and got an incredible deal, so the price was definitely right (especially since shipping took almost three weeks). The video quality is really nice though, even at night you can see everything clearly, which gives me peace of mind. It's easy to set up too, just follow the instructions in the app. I did have a bit of trouble connecting it to my Google Home but after restarting the router twice, it worked fine (I think sometimes my internet goes down when I'm not looking).It has all the features you'd expect from a modern smart doorbell like two-way audio and AI detection for people and cars. It even works with Alexa if that's your thing. The only downside is that it doesn't come with an SD card, so you'll have to buy one separately if you want to store footage locally. Overall though, I think this is a great product, especially considering the price. My neighbor bought a different brand and paid way more for less features (he also complains about his internet going down all the time, maybe it's just our area).

I hate paying subscription services and I was looking for a doorbell that would give me a decent feature set without having to pay a monthly fee. The Tapo wired doorbell fit my need perfectly! My house wasn't previously wired for a doorbell so I had to run bell wire and install a transformer but after I finally got it setup I was amazed at the quality.The Camera has a great high def picture and works fantastically in the dark. I have mine recording to a local SD card and have been impressed with the responsiveness. The app is a pleasure to use and allowed me to setup zones to avoid getting notices whenever cars drive down the road. The included AI processing works well and does a decent job of identifying people, packages, or motion. whenever someone rings my doorbell I now hear the included chime, and receive notifications on my alexa and google home devices.I would greatly recommend the TAPO doorbell but make sure you get an endurance rated SD card for local storage.

Amazing doorbell for the price. Excellent clarity. Motion detection is a little bit delayed. You miss the first few seconds, but still better than my old ring doorbell. It was very easy to setup and worked great with my existing wiring. The clarity of the video is insane even at night. The alerts are extremely helpful and able to customized to your liking. Can't say enough good things about this ecosystem. If you're looking for an affordable camera system, definitely check tp-link out. The app isn't perfect, but the cameras and price can't be beat.

This item is great for a really nice option to replace that old push button doorbell. Everything you need is included. Install using the same mounting as the push button doorbell, didn't need to drill any other holes, used existing wires, added the included jumper wire to original chime, following the installation instructions and it works great, easy to configure with the Tapo app and WiFi. Just buy it, it works great
