I used it to further insulate the lines for my DIY mini-split. Great product and I highly recommend it. they are indeed 3 inches wide and adhere to itself very well.

This worked perfectly for us - we needed something to help protect out pool equipment over the winter break and this did the trick. Wrapped all the pipes and helped to protect them from cracking. We will do this again next winter as well.

This tape doesn't work as it is supposed to. Don't use on heating pipes.

I live in a house built in the late 50's, so everything had to be crammed and rigged up to fit in this house, which was also previously a rental, so I've spent the decade living in this house fixing all the random deep holes and non-insulated walls and uninsulated everything. This came right on time as I just changed the plumbing behind my sink which left me with a large uninsulated hole, and I needed a long-term solution to keep the bugs AND the wind and cold out. The role is large and generous with two heavy duty rolls. It's super easy to measure, cut and install the peel and stick thick insulation, however, the backing was a nightmare on every piece to remove which took multiple tries and many times of pulling small pieces out to finally have a whole piece. I pressed the piece to the wall and it stuck immediately and STAYED stuck, so it didn't pop back up and it fit great in the space, secured the entire wall, and makes it look purposeful. It wraps well around PVC, sticks well to it too, sticks to wood, sticks to plastic and STAYS PUT and keeps all the cold out. I've used a similar product to weatherstrip the doors and windows and it has made such a huge difference. These things have some stick and they don't rip or tear, and they're actually easy to install, wipe down and they don't unroll or have gaps. Such a useful product that's good quality that makes such a huge difference in an old house where there are drafts EVERYWHERE. I love the two huge rolls as well so there is a ton of product for many, many house applications which I love.

This is a quality foam insulation tape that has really good adhesive characteristics. This foam insulating tape can also be used for other things in addition to piping insulation. We have used this tape on items to prevent scratches and damage when different types of surfaces e.g., metal objects rubbing against each other, also noise reduction - instead of two solid surfaces hitting each other, one metal object would be striking a foam surface/covering thus making it quieter. Another more important feature for us, we use it for helping to keep our grandkids from injury - especially when they run into sharp objects/furniture corners etc..Applying the foam on pipes or similar objects takes a little planning especially if you are working in confined areas. I've found estimating the lengths needed and precutting from the roll makes it easier to install. Note the pic of the water heater pipe I covered - it does take a little practice to roll around pipe (especially smaller diameter) and have it look perfect. The foam backing that gets peeled off can be a little challenging to remove without gouging out some of the foam itself.Overall, this product has a lot of other applications it can used for and b/c of this utility and fair pricing - makes it an easy buy decision.

The Wanateber pipe wrap (foam insulation) arrived in excellent packaging, and consisted of (2) 20ft rolls of 3 inch foam, sticky-back, pipe insulation tape.The insulation tape was easy to cut, easy to roll onto piping, easy to stick, and easy to remove.
