After overvolting a quad 500 I had the old rusty chain snap. They are high quality toys and I've never had to fix anything besides adjust the brake, but pumping 48 volts through it finally did it in. These aren't like bike chains. they are a perfect fit and tight. It took me a long time to figure out how to get it on, because without have appropriate tools I couldn't pull the ends close enough together. Metal has no give. Zip tie everything in place and you'll get a perfect fit with no pieces able to fly away into the unknown hiding areas of the garage, which will no doubt happen as you use plyers to force the locking pieces on.

I motorized a chain hoist using an old drill, the drill drives a small sprocket and the large one is on the hoist. I needed to cut the chain, so the master links were necessary. Working well, doesn't slip off. I'm putting less stress on it than you would with a 4-wheeler, but I don't expect you'd have any problems with that either.

been using these chains for a while. Never had any issues with them. After a year or so sitting outside rusts the rivets i think. No problems on the chains on the bikes that actually get cared for. ha. Good chain but i dont like that it came as a chain (completely connected) and not as links (connected with a master link )
