Excellent Choice! (And reasonably priced)

I recently decided to replace the stock cables that came with my SE 535s. I bought all three available cables from Shure to compare them. These simple cables are well made and sound fantastic.I tried:Shure RMCE-BT2 High-Resolution Bluetooth 5.0 Communication Cable$149Shure RMCE-UNI Universal Communication Cable for Detachable SE Sound Isolating Earphones.$29Shure EAC46BKS 46-Inch Black Detachable Earphone Cable$35The EAC 46BKS cable does not have an inline mic/volume control. and it doesn’t sound any better than the RMCE.The RMCE is cheaper, sounds just as good and is more functional. The clear winner. The RMCE BT2 is wireless which is great. But the sound is not quite the same. The sound personality or signature is similar to the wired option but as you might expect, the high end and low end of the dynamic range is less present. The overall sound is pleasing and balanced but the upper transients and the lower thump of the bass is quieted. Also the sensitivity of the drivers is decreased, At maximum volume, the sound level for loud critical listening is achieved. With the wired connection, you cant turn it up beyond 3/4 without it becoming painful. When walking around with the wireless set up the playback volume is more than sufficient. There is a nice clean presentation of the sound overall.Having both options is great, depending on the circumstance. The wireless option is excellent if I don’t want a cord in the way. But when you want maximum playback dynamics you can choose the wired solution.Yes, it’s luxurious to own both, but so is owning the se535s. :)Im extremely happy with the two options. I highly recommend them both.

High quality cable, a little short, but works with Androids.

Finally, a Shure headset cable that all three buttons work with an Android. I have purchased several cables, even some touted to work on both iPhones and Androids but always had trouble getting them to work on my droid.Pros:- Easily switched between Android and iPhone- The cables are high quality and do not appear that they will wear out easily. The coating on the wire is thick and should not wear out easily.- Attachment points to your headphones are reinforced and like the stock cable that came with my 215's are shapeable so that they are comfortable for extended wearing.- Attachment points click in solidly. Some off brand cables attach a little loose. I have no fear of these disconnecting on me.Cons:- Cable is shorter than the stock cable and the other headset cable that Shure makes.- Headphone plug is straight vice the 45 or 90 degree bend that other cables have. Not a deal-breaker, but I prefer having some sort of bend. All in all a very good quality cable. I have had no issues at all with this cable and after a few weeks use am used to all of the cons mentioned above.

Not as high-quality as the original cable, but works

This cable is not as thick, or as long, as the original mic-less cable that came with my shure headphones. It does work, and call quality is good - and doesn't feel low quality. But, it definitely does not feel as robust as the original cable. The extra foot or so of cable on the original was also nice, so I wish this one were longer.

Alright, it works

Well, straight to the point, I bought this after a couple of bad experiences with Bluetooth technology, one of them with the Shure Bluetooth adapters themselves. Maybe I'm kinda a retro guy but I just don't wanna have another disappointment. These stupid smartphones don't have the 3.5 mm socket anymore and the obsession with making them as thin as possible (which I consider ridiculous and dangerous as they become easy to slip from your hand) and many of us, I guess, are buying adapters. I dunno if in these day and age using wired earphones or headphones is a symbol of low status or being backwards but maybe I'm the last of the Mohicans in wanting that instead of an unreliable technology that no matter how wireless still has a ton of issues to solve.Al that rant said, if you have Shure earphones you're already down the rabbit hole in terms of sound quality and how much you want to spend for that. We're a bunch of abnormal obsessive people, some more reckless than others. When I put this cable for my Shure SE846 (it was the third one I use as the two previous just got worn apart and useless) I was surprised at how loud they sounded in comparison to some cheap earphones I was using meanwhile. These stupid Android phones already have (many of them) suggestions and automatic volume control that comes up from time to time. But in this case I get it: although that's extremely annoying and it's not the problem of a corporation if I want to become deaf with my own device there's a world of difference not only in quality but also in power with these earphones and cable, but after all, nothing new under the Sun here, Shure is Shure. One last stupid comment: I guess it's not reasonable to buy this if you don't use to commute by train or bus or walk a lot listening to your music or podcasts, but if you already have the earphones then you know this.

replaced cord for SE215

These worked perfectly for replacing the cord for my SE215 earphones. The added bonus is that I now have a remote too. The cord is a bit shorter than the orignal, but the original always seemed a bit over generous on length (it was prone to snag on door handles and such). This one is still long enough to have my phone in my front pocket and have a loose dangle to the earphones, without the worry to snag on things. Sound quality is the same and durability seems good.

Does what it says --- but too short and built poorly.

The good: everything works, the mic is decent, audio is indistinguishable from the cable that came with my SE300's (at least for me).The bad: It just feels really cheaply built compared to the default cable. The cable itself is not as "flat" (idk how to describe it better), the connector is not L-shaped, and it's annoyingly short too. There's probably no way Shure makes another version of this product, so I would still recommend it if you need a cable with a mic, but at least I have gone back to the old cable (and holding my phone with my hand...).
