This floating shelf set comprises two uprights, two shelves, assembly and mounting advice, the necessary fittings and a tiny spirit level, all neatly and securely presented.The shelves and supports are solid wood. They are well made and properly finished. There are no rough edges and all the surfaces are smooth. The wood looks lightly waxed with a satiny finish.Assembly is easy. I have mounted my shelves in the hallway over the shoe stand. The shelves are very convenient for letters, gloves and my often-forgotten shopping list. Their design is clean and classic and I enjoy both seeing and using them. The workmanship is skilled and professional and I think the shelves are good value.

This is a lightweight unit that comes as a 4-piece unit, instructions and screws. The assembly is easy for anyone comfortable with drilling. Although it is a very small thing, I am very impressed with the tiny spirit level included in the package. It is a thought that counts.The wood is solid ( I think it is pine), not the remanufactured ones we often get on flatpack furniture. This shelf isn't for heavier items and it is very nicely designed.I didn't find anything worth criticising. A full five stars overall.

I've just put up these Sumgar floating shelves and as I write this review they are priced at £43. The shelves, which look so good in the listing, unfortunately let themselves down quite badly quality-wise.Firstly, the finish showed a lot of discolouration on all sides and because the screw holes are predrilled it was predetermined that the very worst looking face should be front and centre.This was compounded by the screws being too short and barely poking through the metal frame. They had so little purchase on the wood that they simply ripped out when I picked it up and left the screwholes damaged. I have taken a picture of the screws I managed to scrounge up myself. My screws are the perfect size but are unfortunately silver instead of black.Then there's the overall awkwardness of actually putting the thing together unless you can find yourself a stubby screwdriver.Overall, these had the potential to look great in my games room and the tiny, but accurate, spirit level was a nice touch. However my rating reflects my opinion that this is a faulty item.

The box contains two wooden shelves, this is natural pine that has been stained and has pilot holes drilled in to them, two square metal frames ,instructions and a pack of screws and wall plugs and a spirit level, which i have to say is absolutely fantastic little addition, never had this in any shelf kit before and was very handy and now lives in my tool box.At first glance everything looks good, the fully pine shelves are very nice however i don't think they have anything on them as a finish over the wood stain, the black frames were a bit out of square, the biggest issue was that the screws provided to attach the shelves to the frame were the wrong type and too short for the job, i had to replace them with screws i had.The Shelves need to be assembled while you are attaching them to the wall, and there isnt a great deal of room for a drill or screw driver inside the squares, if you have a driver attachment that allows you to drill or drive at 90 degrees it will help, or put a screwdriver bit into a small ratchet .

I missed my return window due to delayed construction at our house. However this is one of the most disappointing products I have purchased!!! It is cheaply made. Several of the wood pieces were damaged or wood grain missing or damaged. Looks like a blind person made it in shop class.
