I appreciate that easy clicker for igniting the flame. I also appreciate the lock feature for keeping the flame on while I'm soldering or sweating pipe. It's easy to take this on and off the map gas and transport in my service van. Very affordable and long lasting.

Works every time large flame with an adjustable gas nozzle. I have used this with both MAP and propane and have been very happy with the performance of this torch set.

Please read the instructions before using. These can be VERY dangerous if used improperly. I used this torch head with MAPP gas but not propane. It worked flawlessly and as well as the name brand heads that are available. Based on my use and observations, this torch head is exactly like the big name brands in both appearance and quality. It worked exactly as it is supposed to, every time. Definitely a worthwhile purchase. I will continue using to see how it holds up long term and I will update this review if necessary.

This torch appears to be of high quality construction. The integrated igniter is a convenient feature. All components seem to be made of durable materials. I have successfully used this torch for propane-based plumbing work. While I have not personally used it with MAPP gas, the product description indicates compatibility. Overall, this is an excellent product at a reasonable price.

This handheld propane torch compares favorably to the Bernzomatic torch (seen in the pics). It is well made, with brass and stainless steel fittings, a turbo flame feature which increases the heat to the burner, and instant on/off when the start button is depressed/released. If you need to keep the flame burning, it has a "stay-on" button immediately above the start button, allowing you to hold your heated workpiece in the flame with two hands for stability. The flame can be adjusted from full to a trickle with the small volume dial at the base of the torch nozzle inlet. All in all: well-made and well thought-out features for the home handy man or the professional.

Trigger start torches are the way to go, hands down.So much easier to use, one handed, one step operation.On demand trigger that auto-ignites.Trigger lock so you can shift your grip or go hands free.I mostly use the TS-4000 torch, a simpler torch without an adjustable flame.This torch is equivalent to the TS-8000, which has the adjustable flame.A must for precision or delicate work.The flame swirl is a little different than the TS-8000, I'm not sure if there's any functional difference.I often use this with the Coleman type short squat propane cylinders, which will stand upright hands free and very stable.
