The $44/45 options come with an extra 35mm bit; your call if you need it or not... I have only used it a few times; hard to know (wood type, how aggressively the bit it used etc.) how long the bit will last without needing to be sharpened or replaced.

When you say 1x2, if it is truly a full 2" wide, yes it is possible. But if it's only 1 1/2" wide, no it will not work.

Q: Replacing 10yr old 1.25" overlay euro hinges w/ blum b039c355b.20 1.25" o-lay soft close: exist. hole too shallow, will this jig have correct depth?

It comes with an adjustable stop collar. The minimum cup depth this jig can drill is 1/2", and it can be adjusted thicker if needed. Most cup hinges require a 1/2" deep 35mm diameter hole.
