So much more durable!
Everything about this is better than the original. We've replaced the original twice, at a much higher cost, because the tabs on the handle that hold the lid snapped off. And because the glass was so thin, we always had to remember to be incredibly delicate with the pot, which is hard when you haven't had your coffee yet...As for the "pour" which several other reviewers commented on, yes, the spout is slightly thinner but it made no difference to us.

Far Superior than the original
Far superior than the one that originally came with the Moccamaster machine (Technivorm). The pour is smoother and doesn’t spill. The handle is stronger and more ergonomic, and the glass feels stronger and more durable. After breaking the original carafes 2x over 4 years with relatively innocuous bumps while cleaning them, I can say this one is much better.

what do I do now?
This product is poorly designed !!!!!! I wonder if it is designed and made by the Moccamaster company, or a poor copycat of the genuine product. The spout/beak are is so shallow that coffee spills from the sides while pooring it in a mug. The shape and size of the this area has to be modified!!! I am sick and tired cleaning the counter after each pour every morning.
