Better than we expected!

We bought this for a sleeping bag. I don’t know what size the sleeping bag is exactly but it’s a decent size Coleman. It works amazing and material is very durable. It was a tight fit but the straps made it easy!

Not Just for Sleeping Bags — These Sacks Do It All!

I originally grabbed one M-Tac compression sack for a sleeping bag, but ended up ordering eight because they’re just that useful. I use them to compress everything — my down twin-size comforter, camp down jackets, extra clothes, and even bulky gear I want out of the way. Each bag now has its own job and helps keep my rig organized and clean when I’m on the road or off-grid. The materials are tough, the straps hold tight, and they compress down better than expected. If you’re tired of rummaging through loose gear, grab a few of these. Total game changer for any overlanding or camping setup.

Would Purchase Another

Design is true to picture, single stitched. The sewn seam running from bottom to top of sack has a potential point of failure at top of sack, under opening, below draw string; would benefit from extra stitching. Diameter of flap at mouth, which lays flat, roundabout tucked under draw string closure, is potentially a little small if sack is full/unable to to be drawn on the tighter side. Stitching of compression sack is seam taped on inside (seam running from bottom to top of sack and drawstring tube seam are not seam taped), apparent waterproofing on inside fabric, exterior looks water resistant but displays absorptive qualities; I intend to spray exterior with Nikwax, Scotchgarde or some other water repellant. Reasonably heavy-duty advertised as nylon, fabric/webbing.

ECWS system compatibility.

This is supper sturdy. The Medium size holds the Green Patrol Bag with ease from the ECWS sleep system. It holds the Bivy cover with ease. It holds both the Bivvy Cover and Green Patrol Bag with effort. It will not hold the Black cold weather bag. It is too small.Update… just received the large bag 24 liters will hold the intermediate and patrol bag together tightly. It will also just hold the intermediate bag with the Bivvy cover as well. Awesome. Makes the military sleep system much more manageable. I plan to get both the medium and large size (12 and 24 liters) for every modular surplus sleep system I own.

Light and strong

This is just what I was looking for. I got a 20 degree EE quilt. The stuff sack that came with it had no cinch-down straps, and was too big for my camping preference. So I ordered this in a large - it fits perfectly! I am able to strap down and compress the EE quilt into a size that while larger than a woobie, it's not much larger. The stuff sack is well made with lightweight and strong material. I dislike the label sewn in, "military and tactical" on the label is just kind of stupid and slightly cringe, so I used a permanent marker to cover it up.All set.

Bought one. Then had to buy another. And another...

If you’re looking for a low quality ruck sack, keep searching. Bought one bag to use as “hold all” for small items (keys, phone) while hiking. Gearing up for an upcoming camping trip, I decided to update my sleeping bag to a TnF Wasatch 40 deg sleeping bag and decided to see if it fit in the sack given it’s compression capabilities. I knew for the trip we’d be around water so managed to get the bag into one of my SeatoSummit 8L dry bags which I was then able to squeeze into the medium M-Tac ruck sack. Well SOMEONE decided they needed to update their recently bought sleeping bag once they saw the set up and that’s how we can ended up buying an additional unit (plus a new sleeping bag and 8L dry bag). Not 6 days from my upcoming trip here I wondered if I could squeeze my current 2-person backpacking tent (92W x 56D x 44H when erect) into one. Fit like a glove so I decided to see if I could get two more delivered before the trip. They were in my hands the next day and my tent was in the bag as you can see. I decided to buy 2 bringing my total up to 4 so I could have an extra one around the house. Better to have it waiting here for use than to be waiting on it in the mail, and I know it’ll get used.I read other reviews that noted it wasn’t fully waterproof and I don’t want to risk it with my sleeping bag (canoeing to campgrounds). My tent however should be fine without the added layer. The material feels durable. Good stitching, sealing and webbing. I’ll update this in 6mo or so once we’ve put these things in the dirt and actually tested them.

Great stuff sack

I bought one of these and then bought another after using the first one for about a year. Great stuff sack. I wrench on the stuff straps and no problems.

Definitely made for military bags

I just got mine in the mail after trying out the M and L size bags that didn’t fit for my military Surplus army Sleeping bag( the one that’s sorta the worm looking one that wraps around ur face ) not sure exactly the model since the tag is really faded out on the sleeping bag itself , turned out the XL was the one that fit most snug inside . Anyone that got them thick long Sleeping bags I’d definitely recommend this bag. I’m about 5’9 150 on the slim side on weight I got a sleeping bag that’s only a few inches bigger wider and taller than me and like i said XL was the one that was perfect.. I got confused because people were saying they fit theirs in a M and a L but that wasn’t the case with mine, different SLeeping bag model I assume … will update after extreme camping use after a year and see if the straps and bag itself hold it down.. but so far no issue straps work good .. I picked up the old Vietnam sleeping bag straps as well from a Surplus to attach too the backpack as well since I couldn’t figure out how to strap it on too this Alicepack it has strap holes but idk couldn’t figure it out with this bag
