Seems solid
Only dove with this once, but it’s watertight and it works. Construction feels sturdy, buttons are good. Got some great footage with my X5!

Protective case
Protective case fits my insta 360 and protect my camera from the water. you do have to use the 3 strips at once on each side or it falls off and blocks the video. I was able to use this on my beach day in lake michigan. The rubble rings were ok. Hard to put them in. I do wish they were built rubbers since they are hard to squeeze through. SO far so good makes sure to turn on the dive mode before going in the water!

Camera cage
My camera fits perfectly inside of this cage. It locks securely with a tight fit. It works perfectly. I have put this in water on multiple occasions and it kept my camera bone dry. It didn't effect the quality of the images taken. Its extremely easy to use! It comes with detailed instructions on how to use the case and not use the case. It comes with some extra tools and a storage bag! Its inexpensive for using it in water. Its a nice addition for someone who's into heavy water sports.

Excellent (and mostly usable with the X4)
I haven't yet upgraded from the X4 to the X5, and I found plenty of information that you can't use the X4 dive case for the X5, since the X5 is about a millimeter taller, but I couldn't find anywhere which stated whether or not you could use the X 5 case for the X4, so I decided to take a chance, and future-proof my purchase. The result? My gamble (mostly) paid off! 1. The X4 successfully fits inside the X5 dive case, but the but the buttons only halfway align. 2. The power button won't work, so for now, I have to power the camera on before closing the case. I can live with that. 3. The lower button didn't work UNTIL I slid an extremely thin piece of plastic between it and the camera, then it did, so I can use that to start/stop recording. 4. Also, I can always use the app to control the camera. 5. In dive case mode, the stitch lines look good. I'll call this a win.Other than that, the case seems tough and well-built. The four clamps are easy to operate and appear plenty secure. A very useful addition for all underwater video & photography!!Last year on a backpacking trip I put the camera underwater while catching trout in mountain lakes, and it was pretty cool, but I didn't have a dive case, so the stitching was totally off. This fall, I plan to get some video of the salmon running nearby, all gloriously orange and stuff. It should be gorgeous! And this will allow me to get usable footage in all directions.

Excellent Dive Case for Clear 360° Underwater Shots
I recently used the Insta360 X5 Invisible Dive Case while snorkeling and was impressed by how well it performed. The housing stayed completely sealed and dry, even during extended underwater sessions. The optical glass lens is very clear—my 360° footage looked sharp with no noticeable distortion or stitching issues. I also appreciate the added protection against sand and bumps, especially in saltwater. It pairs perfectly with the invisible selfie stick for third-person views. A must-have for underwater filming with the X5.

Possible reflection issue within the case under certain conditions; leak proof so far
I'll provide an update on this after a trip to Hawaii in November.I've done some leakage tests with this so far where I just close the case and submerge it under water without my camera. So far, it seems to have held up fine with no leakages thus far. Upon trying it with the camera and recording a video, I do have the issue where in the videos, at times you can see the inside of the cover (the reflection). I think this has more to do with the quality of the material but also the fitment; if there's too much space between the lens and the actual cover, this is what results.I'll most likely bring another case as well to test side by side, just in case one gives out or if the reflection issue is worse in some situations.

Great value dive case alternative for the Insta360 X5.
I found this to be a great value alternative to the dive case offered by the camera manufacturer. Here are a few pros and cons:Pros:* Quality construction and has a snug fit with the X5 camera body. Seems durable.* Perfect alignment with the X5 buttons.* Lightweight at 7.6 ounces on my postal scale.* Waterproof.* Worked well with my selfie stick.* Comes with anti-fog stickers that seem to work.Cons:* Some minimal reflection during use, but I don’t think there’s any way around this.* Plastic may scratch easily, so it’s best to keep it in the protective case it comes with when not in use.* It’s a bit bulky, and having that extra air in the case makes it buoyant, but not enough to make it difficult to maneuver.Overall, this is a great value alternative case to the OEM Dive case produced by the manufacturer. It is waterproof and very compatible with the Insta360 X5 camera. Recommended!
