I like to add these onto leg workouts, like step ups and leg raises. The sandbags are snuggly tucked into 5 separate units, so it might take a minute to exchange the weights.

These adjustable ankle weights have been a game-changer for me as a new mom trying to ease back into my fitness routine. These weights are great and I use them daily in my exercises. I put them on my ankles and the chafing of the cloth against my bare ankle skin does cause blisters, so I use either vet wrap on my ankles or a pair of ankle sleeves under the weights. I like that each 1 pound bag is removable and you can put up to 5 1lb bags (5lb total) in each weight. I like that the 1lb weights are malleable sandbags instead of a solid hard mini bricks which hurt and hit your bones. They are fairly bulky if you put in all 5 sandbags in each weight, but that's to be expected and it doesn't bother me at all.

These work great and have held up very well. I've been using these for physical therapy and my legs have gotten much stronger because of these. But I now need heavier ankle weights. I will definitely purchase this brand if I find them in heavier weight options. These are a quality product. I definitely recommend these.

These weights are easy to remove and add. Love that you can change the weight. I have super skinny ankles so they are a bit big but it isn't a problem.

I am going to leave my original review as I still believe a design change would make this product more user friendly, but I do want to compliment the seller as, after they read my review, they offered me a full refund because I had difficulties using their product. I consider this the sign of an ethical, caring business. They proved they are a great company.Original review: I bought these because I liked the idea that I could change how much they weighed, and the videos made it look like the weight bags were easy to remove and put back in, but I admit I really struggled to remove the bags. Ended up using a pair of pliers to grab hold of them which enabled me to finally get the tops of the bags out of the slots. Since I wanted to start with three pounds in both, I had to get 4 of the bags out. Out of curiosity, I did make an attempt to put one of the bags back in, but I gave up before I succeeded. I do have some arthritis in my hands and my grip is not that strong, but I do feel the design could be changed to make the process a lot easier, such as making the top a flap so that one could just flip the flap up and grab the top of the bag. I believe this company does make a different set which has loops on the ends of the bags so they can just be pulled out, but that set did not have the weights I wanted.I also worried because the Velcro was so strong I wondered if I would be able to pull it apart. Once I got it open the first time, it seemed like it got a bit easier to pull apart. Once you put these on, you will have no worries that they will come off before you take them off.I obviously am not the strongest person — hence the acquisition of exercise equipment to try to improve — but I do think the design could be changed just slightly to make the product more user friendly. I chose these to be able to change the weights, but I doubt if I ever will.

This product is well-made. I see great results when using this while exercising. You have to make sure to really make it tight and comfortable. I would recommend putting them on over your socks! I would recommend this product.
