Arrived 3 days earlier than advised so was very pleased. Everything looked great. Assembled easily. Now to practice alignment and get some great photos.

The description is accurate, the tracker is very useful for cameras or small telescopes to track the stars on long exposures.The alignment is quite easy and there are several tutorials online to make the alignment. The Star Adventure Pro has also a guiding port that is possible to use with PHD2 or Linguider in order to improve the tracking accuracy.

Instructions on the use of the app could be better. Still trying to get this to work with mount and Camera

Ordered on amazon had multiple delivery messages to eventually being refunded as they didn't actually have it. I got one from widescreen center astronomy shop and its a great mount, level it up and polar align i can get 4 minutes tracking with a 102mm scope/dslr combo.

Great piece of kit for the Astro photographer

Star Adventurer Advanced firmwareI take many astro timelapse sequences using Nikon/Sigma with exposures limited by 600 rule.Because I had read on the Sky Watcher about the option to upgrade the firmware to allow long exposure astro timelapse, I decided to buy the Star Adventurer.But, now that I come to carry out the upgrade, I find there is in fact no Sky Watcher downloader for OSX and there is in fact no way for me, or any other non-Windows user to carry out this upgrade. Sky Watcher support confirmed this by email, so they know I have a product that will not do astro timelapse as claimed.Hard to imagine why they cannot get/write/buy a software unbundler for OSX.Hard to see why they ship the product without the current firmware.I am disppointed and frustrated.Buyer beware.

Amazing bit of kit. Once you have the read the manual and done a bit of practice. You can get some great shots with a bit of practice. Great for astro but also for time lapses. There is also a solar and lunar setting. Combine this kit, a great dslr, sturdy tripod, and the stacking technique and the possibilities are endless. Only thing I will say is, I am not sure why they didn't build the red light into the polar scope instead of supplying a light you attach. There is also the option of assisted guidence. You just need to purchase a star imaging camera which plugs into the tracking motor mount and a laptop. The photo attached is 42 photos stacked.
