Parts Genuine 12679099 Intake Variable Valve Timing (VVT) Solenoid with Seal, Retainer, and Bolt

Product works great. Engine surging and P0011 code is gone now. The potential bad is that the part was probably thrown around the warehouses and delivery vans. It was delivered in a bag, so no protection there. The carboard GM box was shredded. I think I'm lucky that it didn't land right on the plastic connector from getting tossed across the warehouse or something.

It was very easy to install after watching a couple of Youtube videos. It took less than 30 minutes to install the intake and exhaust selenoids. This saved me over $150 in labor. I cleared the codes and after two weeks the engine code has not come on again Important note: use only Genuine AC Delco.

This is an OEM part which is a little more expensive than an after market part. But, it is a perfect fit and is the right part for the car. I prefer OEM because after market parts will have something that is not exact as the OEM part which could be an issue. For a few dollars more, you know you are getting the right part. This was used on a 2017 GMC Terrain 2.4 Engine.

I had this replaced after it went out for the second time. I should have purchased this months ago. No issues so far. The price is great.

Have a Buick Verano. Started to stall every time I tried to accelerate from a stop. Car threw a code P0011. The part was held on by one bolt and took a total of 15 minutes to fix including taking out the socket set and putting everything away. Not only did this fix the stalling issue, and the code but my mileage has increased about two miles per gallon then the old part when it was working. Mine had an open coil. The coil should be around 13 ohms when it is good. Mine was around 2K so basically open solenoid coil failure.This replacement part is a true GM part and works / fits perfect. Saved a ton of money and only cost me 15 minutes of my time.

The codes p0013 and p0014 were cleared with this one and the exhaust one. Not necessarily the same for everyone's case.

This review is regarding a 2013 Equinox. I urge you to avoid aftermarket parts! I originally bought both the intake and exhaust Variable Valve Timing (VVT) Solenoid as aftermarket parts for about $30. Immediately after installation when I started my vehicle it rumbled and stalled. So I tested resistance and it was correct. I then ordered the ACDelco (GM) OEM parts (intake and exhaust) and it worked perfectly, my error light was gone. The resistance checked at 12 on both new parts. This is the difference between aftermarket cheap parts and pricey OEM. OEM works.The old Solenoids resistance registered at 12 (intake) and exhaust wouldn't give a reading at all. It was dead. I replaced the intake since it's recommended and the exhaust for obvious reasons.My final recommendation is to keep your oil clean. Change it often because it'll clog the VVT Solenoids.
