Q: The tip of mine is slightly off like a witches hat, is that a typical flaw? Also mine does not have a brand, is anyone else's not branded?

Concerning the brand, mine did not have one either. Although I am not too certain of any flaws related to this product. I would suggest you contact the seller if you have any issues or concerns about that.

Q: Mine came with a black stone. Why and what is it for?

It’s black tourmaline (well at least mine was). Black tourmaline is a protective stone and a grounding stone that goes well with nearly all crystals and stones. It was a nice freebie they included.

Q: Am I supposed to do anything with it when I first get it?

Always cleanse your crystals because other people handles them from order picking to packing to shipping etc. that’s a lot of other people’s energy. Also charge it. I charge mine with full moon but whatever method you prefer. Set your intentions with your crystal.

Q: How is the resin for this obtained and made clear?

Resin is clear in general... If you see it in a color it's because dye was added.
