This product has helped my husband so much! At one point I was afraid he was getting dementia, and I had bought a book from Dr. Atkins on nutrition and he suggested a lot of ingredients that where found in this Ginko smart, I started my Husband on this and Phosphatidly serine matrix- and within a month he was back to being sharp as a tact! It has made a dramatic improvement in his memory and sharpness, I cant recommend this product enough. Not only that, it is about 1/2 the price on Amazon compared to Health food store!

I used to take these and I thought they were great but I developed an allergy to turmeric. My stomach began to be painful and I eventually realized that I could associate it with these pills. I'm not sure if every version has turmeric. I encourage you to test your turmeric tolerance if that is an ingredient of the pill.

I bought these for my my Daughter as she already loved sunny mood and stress defy. She called me 2 weeks later RAVING about how well these memory and focus pills have been working for her! We are both thrilled with these products and recommend them for anyone who could use a boost in these areas. She had just started a job which required a lot of detail, memory, and focus.

I bought this to help manage my ADHD-Pi, and it worked well... I had mental clarity, focus and some energy...for about 2 months.Then it stopped working, I even doubled the amount, but for some reason it became ineffective.I still give it 5 stars because I tend to adapt to/develop tolerance to supplements such as this fairly quickly.

I love this product! I have bought it before at my local health foods store- it was more expensive, so I am glad I found it on Amazon for cheaper. This helps me so much, I have issues focusing and staying on one task at time, but with this product I am so much more productive. It makes me feel more positive over all as well. I will be buying more.

Irwin Natural's "Ginkgo Smart" has many healthful ingredients, including a fish oil base, but contains Vinpocetine, which is a periwinkle extract that might induce side effects such as reduced immune function and depleted catecholamine levels leading to depression (see wikipedia's Vinpocetine article).For a standardized extract containing both the 24% Ginkgo Flavonglycosides and the 6% Terpene Lactones, along with other brain nutrients, one might investigate Karuna's "MemoRegen", or Source Natural's "Ginkgo-24", or Allergy Research's "Complex-M w/ Ginkgo", or Life Extension's "Super Booster".GINKGO REVIEWED...THE BAD: In clinical studies published in 1997 and 2008 in the Journal of the AMA, Ginkgo was NOT shown to aid persons with dementia caused by Alzheimer's or stoke. Another 2008 study published in the journal, Neurology, also indicated that Ginkgo does not relieve memory or dementia symptoms, yet does increase the likelihood of stroke. But note, a study of mice also published in 2008 by Johns Hopkins researchers in the journal, Stroke, indicated Ginkgo may reduce the neurological damage by 50% if a stroke does occur from whatever cause.THE GOOD: In 1992, the Journal of Clinical Pharmacology published that Ginkgo DOES aide persons with Cerebral Insufficiency. In the article, 8 out of 40 clinical trials were found to be properly administered and thereby reach credible conclusions. At least 2 of the studies demonstrated significant results for patients suffering from Cerebro-vascular Insufficiency, a condition of decreased blood flow to the brain which may cause dementia-like symptoms or stroke. Dementia-like symptoms of Cerebral Insufficiency claimed to have been relieved include, "difficulties of concentration and memory, being absent minded, being confused, lack of energy, tiredness, decrease of physical performance, depressive mood, anxiety, dizziness, tinnitus, and headaches." Ginkgo may work by:* improving blood circulation to the extremities, including the brain;* relieving neurotransmitter disturbances;* effecting neuron metabolism;* neutralizing free radicals.

I continue to buy this product. I had been feeling somewhat overwhelmed, like I couldn't keep my thoughts straight. I purchased this product and it seems to help with clarity during the day. I definitely can tell a difference when I have not taken it for a couple of days.

I was SO excited to see this product on Amazon prime at a lower cost than my local health food store + the convenience of prime is always a benefit. However, I'm so disappointed that when I opened the cheesy mailing envelope, I found a busted bottle, loose pills, and tiny shards of glass :(Not to mention that a couple pills dropped on the floor and I had to literally shove my hand down my dogs throat so he didn't ingest them...I guess I should be happy he grabbed the loose pills rather than the loose glass...Then I tried to save the pills by using a cotton cloth to wipe off the hundreds of tiny glass shards, which resulted in hundreds of tiny glass shards IN MY SKIN. Pretty annoying, not to mention painful. What gets me is that the drug store mascara that I order from Amazon comes in an actual box with air packs. I don't know why a glass bottle of pills wouldn't get the same (if not better) treatment...Anyways, I had to throw them all away because it's not worth getting more glass in my skin or worse, my mouth, throat, or stomach...sorry for the rant, I'm just very disappointed that I wasted my money on these and that I'm now out of the pills and unable to refill for 6 days.
